• Leicester City have become the firm, 1/4 odds-on favourites to sign Burnley’s star winger Dwight McNeil this summer, with a flurry of bets suggesting the Foxes are close to getting their man. (Sky Bet)

• Turkish outlet Fotospor, via Sport Witness, are reporting that Aston Villa’s Samatta will be made available for loan if Edouard does indeed arrive from Neil Lennon’s side. Edouard has been heavily linked with a move to Villa as well as Premier League rivals Leicester City, Arsenal, Newcastle United and Crystal Palace.

• Newcastle United look set to battle it out with Everton and Wolves for 28 year old Atletico Madrid full-back Santiago Arias. The right-back has been capped on over 50 occasions for the Colombia senior side. (Sport Witness)

• Sheffield United are now the bookies’ firm favourites to sign Liverpool’s Rhian Brewster this summer ahead of West Ham, although a potential move could transpire to be a loan deal rather than a permanent switch. (Oddschecker)

• Former Arsenal midfielder Ray Parlour, has urged Jack Wilshere to move into the Championship with Bournemouth after reports emerged he could be set to leave West Ham.

• Tottenham are reported to be considering their next move after Torino rejected an opening offer for their captain and talisman Andrea Belotti. As per the respected Italian transfer guru, Spurs lodged a loan to buy bid. Under their proposal, Spurs asked to loan the Italy striker for the season with an option to buy for €50m (£46.2m) next summer.

• Aston Villa are considering a move for Werder Bremen winger Milot Rashica. The club want to sign a new winger and have shown interest in the Kosovo international. Bremen want a fee in the region of £18.5m (€20m) for Rashica.

• Brentford boss Thomas Frank has reiterated Aston Villa transfer target Said Benrahma will only be sold if the price is right. The Bees’ reported asking price is around the £30 million mark for their No.10, which is around the same fee Villa forked out for Ollie Watkins.

• David Moyes has suggested Jack Wilshere could remain at the London Stadium, despite reports claiming the club are set to cancel the midfielder’s contract by mutual consent. “Jack has got a year to go on his contract. He’s here and he’s been very good,” Moyes said. “I’ve really enjoyed working with Jack. For all the injuries he’s had in the past, I’ve got to say – since the day after lockdown, he’s not missed one day of training. He’s been fantastic in training. I’ve enjoyed having Jack, so I’ve heard nothing about it.”

• West Ham forward Andriy Yarmolenko has been linked with a move to Chinese Super League club Shandong Luneng but David Moyes has played down the chances of the Ukrainian leaving this summer.

• David Moyes is unsure if West Ham will return with a third bid for James Tarkowski and admits the Hammers are unlikely to pay £50m for the Burnley defender.

• Chelsea are close to agreeing a deal to sign goalkeeper Edouard Mendy from Rennes.

• West Bromwich Albion have turned to former Chelsea star Branislav Ivanovic, as they look to bring some much-needed Premier league know-how into their squad. He’s a free agent after leaving Zenit.

• Inter Milan could offer Ivan Perisic to Atletico Madrid in a swap deal for Arsenal target Thomas Partey, according to reports in Spain.

• West Ham’s asking price of £80m for Declan Rice remains an issue for Chelsea, other options are having to be discussed. (via @SJohnsonSport)

• Moise Kean is a ‘hot name’ for Juventus this summer but Everton are not interested in letting him leave.

• Nicolas Otamendi | Two clubs keen on Manchester City player – He needs to take a pay cut for move.

• Manchester United are expected to complete the signing of 17-year old Charlie McNeill after agreeing a fee with Manchester City that could rise to £1.35m. (Source: MEN)

• Aston Villa have been handed a potential transfer boost, with The Telegraph claiming that Bournemouth are now willing to sell Josh King for the right price.

• Chelsea look to be close to landing their seventh signing of the summer, with a £25m deal for Rennes goalkeeper Edouard Mendy close to completion. The deal would take the Blues’ summer spending up to around £226m (Sky Sports)

• Tottenham Hotspur head coach Jose Mourinho has told Football.London that he does not want to sell Serge Aurier, amid reported interest from Wolverhampton Wanderers.

• Roy Hodgson admits he is surprised that Crystal Palace have not received more offers for Wilfried Zaha and hopes the club’s star player can get over his “demons” after not moving to a bigger club.

• Aston Villa and Brighton’s hopes of landing Arsenal goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez look to have received a boost, after the Gunners left the £20m-rated stopper out of their side to face Fulham this weekend. (Guardian)

• Leicester City target Wesley Fofana has turned down the offer of a new contract from St Etienne as he pushes for a move to England.

• Fluminense keeper Marcelo Pitaluga | Club accept Liverpool offer – Player set to sign 3 year contract with Reds. Set to travel to England to complete move.

• Tottenham Hotspur are targeting Metz forward Habib Diallo. The player is open to the move.

• Rafinha | Leeds United ‘maximum favourite’ to sign midfielder – Player ‘seems ready’ to agree to move.

• Oleksandr Zinchenko | “We would listen” – Manchester City player’s agent makes clear transfer is a possibility, potentially as part of Koulibaly deal.

• Wolves have had a £22m bid rejected by Porto for winger Jesus Corona. The 27-year-old Mexico international has a £27m release clause in his contract.

• Socceroos goalkeeper Mat Ryan may be leaving the Premier League with Brighton looking to buy Arsenal goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez.

• Liverpool are laying the early groundwork to sign Watford and Senegal striker Ismaila Sarr, 22, in January. (Football Insider)

• Leeds United’s hopes of landing Liverpool’s Harry Wilson look to have improved, with reports suggesting the Reds could be willing to sell the former Bournemouth loanee for around £15m (BBC Sport)

• Sheffield Wednesday’s hopes of bringing Jacob Murphy back to the club look to have improved, with Newcastle United boss Steve Bruce admitting the winger could well leave on another loan spell this season. (The Star)

• Tottenham are unlikely to sign Napoli striker Arkadiusz Milik in the current transfer window, according to Sky Italy’s Gianluca Di Marzio, but the club are monitoring Watford captain Troy Deeney.

• With negotiations slowly progressing for Tiémoué Bakayoko’s proposed transfer to AC Milan, there is plenty of room for other interested parties to swoop in and change things. According to Corriere dello Sport (via Sport Witness), Crystal Palace are sending a proposal to the 26-year-old midfielder. Blues want to set the buy-option included in the loan at €30m, while the Rossoneri unwilling to go beyond €25m.

• Chelsea have rejected an offer from Inter Milan for midfielder N’Golo Kante, according to the Guardian .

• Luton boss Nathan Jones has confirmed his interest in Leicester City midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall as reported by Luton Today. Jones was asked about the 22-year-old ahead of their opening game of the season against Barnsley and said: “He’s been on my radar for a long time Kiernan, I know him very well and I’ve watched him 10 times. “I really, really like him, I think he’s an excellent midfielder, but he’s a Leicester player so it would be wrong for me to comment on him. “But I do know him very, very well, I watched him for Leicester, watched him for Blackpool and he’s a player I do think has a fantastic future.”
