• Bristol City are interested in signing Steven Sessegnon of Fulham. The Robins are looking to bring in at least one defender, with a right-back a high priority to replace Pedro Pereira following the end of the Portuguese defender’s loan. But there is Championship competition.

• Crystal Palace leading the race to sign QPR’s Eberechi Eze but face competition from Fulham for the forward. QPR say they are still waiting for new bids.

• France Football are reporting that Comoros international Fouad Bachirou, who currently plays for Malmö FF in Sweden, is on his way to City Ground.

• Sheffield United are making a move to sign 21 year old Barnsley defender Clarke Oduor, Football Insider exclusively reveal.

• Bournemouth are yet to receive an official bid for winger David Brooks, despite continued interest from a host of top Premier League clubs.

• Former Arsenal striker Yaya Sanogo is close to joining Middlesbrough on a free transfer. The Frenchman is a free agent after running down his contract at Toulouse. The 27-year-old visited the club’s Rockliffe training ground last week

• La Liga giants Barcelona turn their attention to Watford player Pervis Estupiñan – Price ‘will rise to €15m’, relegation ‘reopened possibility’ of transfer

• Burnley are considering a move for Bournemouth defender Adam Smith.

• Plymouth Argyle are trying to trash out a deal with Peterborough United for winger George Cooper, according to reports. The 23-year-old was on loan at Home Park last season and helped the club secure promotion to League One in Ryan Lowe’s first campaign in charge of the Pilgrims.

• Marc Guehi is set to re-join Swansea on a season-long loan deal from Chelsea.

• Aston Villa are edging closer to signing Brentford’s Ollie Watkins ahead of Leeds United and Leicester City, with Villa boss Dean Smith’s previous experience managing the player likely to seal the deal. (Football Insider)

• Aston Villa have been tipped to beat the likes of Fulham and West Ham United to Nottingham Forest star Matty Cash. The versatile wide man, who has previously been linked with AC Milan, is valued at £15m. (Football Insider)

• Luton Town look to be closing in on signing Aston Villa defender James Bree on a permanent deal, with reports suggesting the Hatters have had a “seven-figure bid” accepted for the 22-year-old. (Birmingham Mail)

• Millwall boss Gary Rowett has revealed he won’t be going in “all guns blazing” into the transfer market, and signalled his intent to take the time necessary to secure “good deals” for the club. (London News Online)

• Derby County’s hopes of signing Monaco defender Jonathan Panzo look to have been dealt a blow, with reports from France suggesting he could join Dijon instead. (Foot Mercato)

• Nottingham Forest will sell Joe Worrall if the price is right, but Burnley and Sheffield United have been scared off by the Championship club’s £10 million demand.

• Blackburn Rovers are reportedly interested in signing Stoke City defender Liam Lindsay ahead of the summer transfer window according to journalist Alan Nixon.

• Sheffield Wednesday are still weighing up a move for former defender Frederico Venancio, as per a report by the Examiner Live.

• Birmingham are interested in Charlton goalkeeper Dillon Phillips, BirminghamLive understands. Also been linked with Cardiff’s Neil Etheridge and Newcastle’s Karl Darlow.

• Alan Nixon has reported on Twitter that Luton Town and Sunderland linked defender Demetri Mitchell has featured on trial for Blackpool.
