• Ipswich Town have turned down a £2m bid from Bournemouth for striker Kayden Jackson, according to reports. Stoke, Birmingham and Coventry are also linked.

• Bournemouth have made a bid to take Tottenham and United States defender Cameron Carter-Vickers, 22, on loan. (Football Insider)

• Luton Town and Wycombe Wanderers are both in talks to sign former Birmingham star Jacques Maghoma on a free transfer.

• 34 year old Blackburn Rovers centre-back Charlie Mulgrew is edging closer to a move for League One side Fleetwood Town.

• Aston Villa are set to complete a deal for Brentford striker Ollie Watkins. The initial fee is £28m which could rise to £33m with add-ons.

• Six Premier League clubs have inquired about the availability of Liverpool striker Rhian Brewster – including Newcastle, Aston Villa and Sheffield United. But sounds like Liverpool are sitting tight for now. Newcastle relaxed & happy with their signing of Callum Wilson.

• Bournemouth also want to sign English forward Tyrese Campbell, 20, from Stoke City. (Express)

• Bright Osayi-Samuel is stalling on a new QPR contract in the hope that Crystal Palace make an offer for him.

• Bristol City striker Famara Diedhiou has emerged as a “transfer priority” for Ligue 1 side Dijon, according to reports in France.

• Derby County are lining up a move for 24 year old AS Monaco winger Samuel Grandsir after talks for Lech Poznan’s Kamil Jozwiak stalled, Sky Sports is reporting.

• Newcastle United dropped their interest in Huddersfield Town striker Karlan Grant because of his £16 million price tag and have left the door open for West Bromwich Albion, according to the Mail.

• Stoke City are set to unveil Barnsley forward Jacob Brown as their fifth signing of the summer, StokeonTrentLive can confirm.

• Benfica winger Chris Willock is interested in rejoining Huddersfield Town on loan with his current club hoping to resolve his future by the end of the week, according to a report from Portuguese outlet A Bola.

• Queens Park Rangers will consider offers made for goalkeeper Joe Lumley this summer, amid reported interest from Birmingham City.

• Birmingham have been linked with Newcastle keeper Karl Darlow and Cardiff City stopper Neil Etheridge as they seek stern competition between the sticks.

• Brighton and Hove Albion are among the clubs in Sporting Gijon goalkeeper Christian Joel Sánchez Leal but could face competition from Brentford.

• Celtic are set to make another move for Charlton Athletic midfielder Alfie Doughty, a bid worth £400,000 as per a report by the Daily Record.

• Bristol City should keep Pedro Pereira at the club for the next season, according to reports from Portugal today.

• Gillingham are being linked with a move for promising Celtic youngster Scott Robertson. Reports north of the border say the Gills are keen on a loan move for the 19-year-old midfielder who has just agreed a new three-year deal with the Glasgow giants.

• 18 year old central defender Nico Jones is aware he may have to go out on loan to gain more experience after a stylish display on his Oxford United return, which saw them beat Chelsea under 21s in midweek. Karl Robinson want s to get a deal done for a striker also.

• Sunderland are at risk of being outbid in the race to sign Mateo Bajamich, with MLS outfit Houston Dynamo making an offer of around £1m. After last night’s defeat of Aston Villa Under 21s, Phil Parkinson said there were no developments in the Bajamich pursuit as of yet and said his squad is close to where he wants to be in terms of squad number. • Blackpool could turn their attention to Nottingham Forest defender Jayden Richardson as boos Neil Critchley eyes additions at Bloomfield Road. (The Sun)

• Phil Parkinson’s Sunderland have joined the race to sign former Celtic and Rangers youngster Liam Burt following his Parkhead exit. The midfielder has been invited to the Stadium of Light for a trial as the League One outfit take a closer look (Glasgow Times)

• Doncaster Rovers have been handed a considerable boost in their bid to bring in two forwards on loan, one of which is thought to be highly rated forward Rayhaan Tulloch from West Bromwich Albion. (Doncaster Free Press/The Athletic)

• A £33m fee from Aston Villa for Brentford’s Ollie Watkins would also mean a club-record sale for Brentford, Exeter City are set to benefit from a seven-figure sum as they retain a sell-on clause on their former academy product.
