• Barcelona have made a €8m bid to sign Manchester City defender Eric Garcia. City value the 19-year-old centre-back at €40m but would be willing to lower their asking price significanty, with the player’s contract set to expire next summer. (Source: SPORT)

• Everton are set to continue their summer transfer business by securing the loan signing of Chelsea defender Fikayo Tomori. (ESPN)

• West Ham are in contact with Napoli striker Fernando Llorente over a move to the London Stadium this summer. (Il Mattino)

• Leeds missed out on signing Basel striker Arthur Cabral after rejecting their €15m (plus €2m in add-ons) bid. (Yahoo Sports)

• Chelsea have identified Alphonse Areola as an alternative to Edouard Mendy, while Fulham are also keen. (Le10 Sport)

• Liverpool and Arsenal have been told they will have a huge talent on their hands if they sign RB Salzburg’s next-big-thing Patson Daka this summer.

• Portuguese media report that Wolverhampton Wanderers are interested in 18 year old Porto fullback Tomas Esteves, who’s client is Jorge Mendes. He could be the third player to leave Porto for the Molineux club this summer.

• Serie A side Cagliari have emerged as a contender to sign Danny Rose from Tottenham, according to reports.

• Crystal Palace are in talks with Chelsea over signing striker Michy Batshuayi on a season-long loan. Batshuayi is expected to sign a one-year contract extension at Chelsea before going on loan.

• Leicester are monitoring developments with Tarkowski and West Ham. Bid was £20M + £10m bonuses or £23m straight up. Burnley have not set an asking price for him.

• Arsenal striker Aubameyang has rejected a new contract and wants to push a move to Manchester United this summer. (BSP)

• Leeds have been told they will need to raise their initial offer for Rodrigo de Paul if they’re serious about signing the Argentine playmaker. Reports claim the Udinese owner has told Radrizzani that De Paul ‘cannot cost less’ than his €40m asking price.

• Arsenal have not made any contact for Houssem Aouar since their initial offer of money plus Mattéo Guendouzi was rejected.

• Leeds are trying to sign PSG midfielder Julian Draxler, but the player has yet to be convinced by their approach. (RMC)

• Fulham are close to signing right-back Kenny Tete from Lyon and are also in talks to sign goalkeeper Alphonse Areola from PSG on a season-long loan. (Sky Sports)

• Bournemouth have made a bid to take Tottenham and United States defender Cameron Carter-Vickers, 22, on loan. (Football Insider)

• Aston Villa are set to complete a deal for Brentford striker Ollie Watkins. The initial fee is £28m which could rise to £33m with add-ons.

• Aston Villa are leading the race for Liverpool’s Harry Wilson. Leeds United are also long-term admirers of the player.

• Six Premier League clubs have inquired about the availability of Liverpool striker Rhian Brewster – including Newcastle, Aston Villa and Sheffield United. But sounds like Liverpool are sitting tight for now. Newcastle relaxed & happy with their signing of Callum Wilson.

• Norway goalscoring sensation Erling Haaland has left the door open on a future move to the Premier League.

• Leicester City look likely to beat Manchester United to the signature of Bournemouth and Wales winger David Brooks, 23. (Manchester Evening News)

• Manchester United are willing to listen to offers for Argentina goalkeeper Sergio Romero, 33, with Leeds, Aston Villa and Chelsea reportedly interested. (Express)

• West Brom and Leeds United have intensified their interest in a loan deal for Chelsea and England Under-21 midfielder Conor Gallagher, 20. (Mail)

• John Stones plans to stay at Man City and fight for his place next season despite interest from Arsenal and Chelsea.

• Bright Osayi-Samuel is stalling on a new QPR contract in the hope that Crystal Palace make an offer for him.

• Newcastle United dropped their interest in Huddersfield Town striker Karlan Grant because of his £16 million price tag and have left the door open for West Bromwich Albion, according to the Mail.

• Birmingham have been linked with Newcastle keeper Karl Darlow and Cardiff City stopper Neil Etheridge as they seek stern competition between the sticks.

• Brighton and Hove Albion are among the clubs in Sporting Gijon goalkeeper Christian Joel Sánchez Leal but could face competition from Brentford.

• Doncaster Rovers have been handed a considerable boost in their bid to bring in two forwards on loan, one of which is thought to be highly rated forward Rayhaan Tulloch from West Bromwich Albion. (Doncaster Free Press/The Athletic)

• A £33m fee from Aston Villa for Brentford’s Ollie Watkins would also mean a club-record sale for Brentford, Exeter City are set to benefit from a seven-figure sum as they retain a sell-on clause on their former academy product.
