• Middlesbrough are believed to be in the running to bring Wolves defender Oskar Buur on loan, but face competition Brentford to seal the deal for the Danish youngster. (Birmingham Mail)

• Swansea City are understood to be hopeful of pulling off a loan deal for Brighton’s promising striker Viktor Gyokeres. He’s been capped twice for Sweden’s senior side, scoring once. (BBC Sport)

• Charlton Athletic owner Thomas Sandgaard has spelled out his desire to keep Alfie Doughty – with Celtic running out of time to get a deal done for the winger after having two bids rejected. Celtic are expected to go as high as seven figures with a final offer.

• Sandgaard’s arrival has lifted the transfer embargo and Charlton will bring in two frontmen if Macauley Bonne departs. Charlton had already knocked back seven-figure offers for Bonne. “The offer from QPR – that is interesting,” said Sandgaard. “If they come up enough with the price then it’s obviously something we need to consider.”

• Bristol City winger Niclas Eliasson is set to join Ligue 1 side Nîmes Olympique for around SEK 25 million (£2.16m), according to a report from Swedish outlet Expressen.se. Celtic and Aston Villa to miss out.

• Hibernian have joined Stoke City and QPR in the chase to sign former Aston Villa midfielder Jake Doyle-Hayes on a free transfer, Football Insider understands. Portsmouth, Hull City, Blackpool, Doncaster Rovers and MK Dons are also interested.

• Blackpool are set to complete a loan deal for highly-rated Nottingham Forest right-back Jordan Gabriel, according to The Sun.

• Southend United manager Mark Molesley wants Charlie Kelman to stay professional amid speculation surrounding the striker’s future. Queens Park Rangers have had an offer turned down for the 18-year-old striker. Swansea and Tottenham also interested.

• Norwich City midfielder Todd Cantwell doesn’t appear to be on the radar of Leeds United, despite reports suggesting otherwise.

• Huddersfield Town are not interested in making a move for Charlton Athletic striker Macauley Bonne after reports claimed the Terriers were. Barnsley, Swansea and QPR are keen.

• QPR are looking to seal a deal to sign Albert Adomah from Nottingham Forest, as per a report by West London Sport. He, a QPR fan, said back in 2017: “I’m a QPR fan. That’s why I didn’t really want to jump for joy when I scored, but I celebrated with our supporters at the end,” he said. QPR are a very strong team – obviously I know that because I follow them. So this was a great win. The majority of my friends, especially the local ones, support QPR, so I think I’ll get a lot of stick.”

• Nottingham Forest are set to hand Jordan Gabriel a new contract and then send him out on loan to League One outfit Blackpool, according to The Sun.

• Swindon Town cannot afford to sign anyone new before out-of-favour players leave the club, according to manager Richie Wellens. He is ‘more or less’ up to his spending limit imposed by chairman Lee Power, and the lack of incomings in recent days is down to finances being too tight. Matty Palmer expected to depart by Monday’s deadline while Adver Sport understands Tyler Reid is close to joining Woking on a permanent deal.

• There are likely to be outgoings from the KCOM Stadium in the next two weeks, although Grant McCann is determined to keep hold of Hull City’s star performers. Hopeful of keeping the likes of Reece Burke, Jordy de Wijs and Mallik Wilks, they will look to try and move on some of their younger players.

• Bolton boss Ian Evatt said 32-year-old Bradford player Gareth Evans wasn’t a player his side were looking at – although he admitted he needed bodies ‘at the top end of the pitch’.

• Harrogate Town manager Simon Weaver has been running the rule over a potential new signing this week. “We have been looking at someone in training this week who can play on the left or the right wing,” Weaver revealed.

• Barrow AFC boss David Dunn believes the affect of Covid-19 on the transfer market should lead some players to lower their demands. They are in the market for more signings.
