Transfer Talk: Austin, James, Pritchard, Romero, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Lingard, King, Olise, Zohore

Check out the transfer talk for the Football League…

• Pafos FC have made a late move to try and sign former Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Sam Hutchinson on a free transfer before the transfer window closes in Cyprus.

• COVENTRY. Growing optimism on landing McCallum from NORWICH. Loan most likely.

• Watford are on the verge of completing a move for Udinese defender William Troost-Ekong, with the player’s departure ‘certain’.

• Huddersfield’s Alex Pritchard is being chased by former employers Norwich and Brentford, TEAMtalk understands. Player likely to jump at the chance. The player might command a fee of around £6million.

• Atletico Madrid’s Rodrigo Riquelme | Reading’s negotiations to sign player in final stages – Paunović relationship helped ‘a lot’

• FOREST. Arter wages a stumbling block in move from BOURNEMOUTH. Silva and Olympiacos might help clear funds for that one.

• Barcelona have failed in an attempt to sign Max Aarons from Norwich City on loan. It is believed the right-back had already agreed personal terms with La Liga giants. However, the deal broke down as the Canaries were not prepared to let him go due to the fact there was no obligation to buy at the end of the deal.

• Reading are close to securing a deal to take promising Everton defender Lewis Gibson on loan, with the Royals set to complete the deal early next week, according to the Liverpool Echo.

• Kevin Blackwell has confirmed Middlesbrough’s interest in Chuba Akpom, and admitted the club need “at least two or three more players” before the transfer window closes next month. (Various)

• Nottingham Forest have an option to buy Fulham loanee Cyrus Christie. The Reds have signed the defender on a season-long loan from the Cottagers. (The Athletic)

• Brentford are closing in on a loan agreement to sign Saman Ghoddos from Amiens, with the option to make that deal permanent next summer. (Sky Sports)

• Everton are interested in signing Rico Henry from Brentford this summer, according to a report from the Sunday People. Brighton, Aston Villa and Leicester want him but the Bees have no plans to sell him.

• According to Football League World, Arsenal are one of over 10 clubs that are interested in signing Reading talent Michael Olise. Wolves and Leeds United are also keen.

• Sheffield Wednesday remain interested in doing a loan deal for Kenneth Zohore this summer, but it’s emerged that West Brom have slapped an £8m fee on the striker’s head in a bid to raise funds.

• Brentford reportedly have two potential buyers for Said Benrahma this summer, with both Crystal Palace and West Ham in the race to sign him. The Bees set a £25million price tag for the attacker.

• Bournemouth boss Jason Tindall has confirmed that no clubs have yet made an offer for Josh King. Man Utd, Aston Villa and Fulham have been linked with him.

• West Brom ‘would entertain’ offers for ex-Swindon Town and QPR striker Charlie Austin (11 goals in 38 games last season), as per a report by The Athletic. The Baggies want to sign Huddersfield Town striker Karlan Grant and are open to moving on last summer’s signing.

• BOURNEMOUTH. Gosling and Ankaragucu move still live. But midfielder back in side yesterday. Decisions decisions.

• Tony Mowbray has denied reports that Blackburn Rovers are set to sign Ryan Manning from QPR.

• ACCRINGTON. Watching developments with keeper Hazard at Celtic. Could be available if does not sign a new deal. Stanley would take him full time.

• Bradford boss Stuart McCall’s targets are still another striker, most likely a younger loan prospect from the Premier League or Championship, and a right back. City are currently well under the £1.5 million wage ceiling imposed by the new salary cap for clubs in League Two. It is thought that McCall still has almost £400,000 to play with. (Telegraph and Angus)

• WIGAN. Can only offer 1500 a week to SWINDON for Palmer on loan. Limit of their spending in embargo right now. Does not help. Still possible.
