• West Bromwich Albion have held talks about signing Islam Slimani from Leicester – but are now looking at other targets.

• Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder says they have told Liverpool they are interested in a loan deal for 20-year-old striker Rhian Brewster. (Various)

• Sheffield United are taking Rangers youngster, Ciaran Dickson, on a trial with the club with a view to potentially offering the teenager a contract.

• According to French outlet Le10 Sport, Aston Villa, PSG and West Ham are interested in signing Tottenham’s Danny Rose.

• Leeds United have launched a £10m bid for Fiorentina midfielder Erick Pulgar, as they look for a Rodrigo De Paul alternative. (La Nazione)

• West Ham United have reportedly joined the race to sign Rob Holding this summer, Newcastle United are also said to be interested in the defender. (The Sun)

• West Ham are leading the race to sign France right-back Djibril Sidibe from Monaco, with Newcastle United and Wolves also interested in the 28-year-old. (90min)

• WEST BROM. Very keen to sign Niang from Rennes. Main argument seems to be over size of loan fee. Poss buy if stay up.

• BOURNEMOUTH. Gosling and Ankaragucu move still live. But midfielder back in side yesterday. Decisions decisions.

• Darren Bent believes West Ham must be getting positive signs that James Tarkowski wants to join the club from Burnley. “Obviously West Ham must be getting some kind of indication that potentially there’s a deal there to be done to keep bidding. (Football Insider)

• Leeds United have been heavily linked with talented Croatian teenager Josko Gvardiol recently, but the deal has collapsed in the closing stages. The Whites had agreed a fee for Gvardiol, but the 18-year-old rejected a move to Elland Road. (Tportal)

• France midfielder Tanguy Ndombele, who has been linked with Inter Milan and Juventus, has decided to stay at Tottenham after the 23-year-old resolved his issues with manager Jose Mourinho. (L’Equipe, via Football Italia)

• Valencia are keen on a £6m deal for Manchester United and Argentina keeper Sergio Romero, 33. (Sunday Mirror)

• Leeds United will try to sign Manchester United winger Daniel James, 22, if the Wales international becomes surplus to requirements at Old Trafford. (Daily Star Sunday)

• Wolves are interested in signing 27-year-old Liverpool and England midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. (Sunday Mirror)

• Everton are interested in signing Rico Henry from Brentford this summer, according to a report from the Sunday People. Brighton, Aston Villa and Leicester want him but the Bees have no plans to sell him.

• PALACE. Growing interest in Benteke. Bruges in, maybe Fenerbahce. Could even be Prem interest as cover. Sale would help for Brewster and Benrahma double move.

• NEWCASTLE. Still shocked at Holding loan collapse. ARSENAL held him back. Toon even had a house sorted for him …

• Tottenham want to sign Manchester United’s England midfielder Jesse Lingard, 27, for £30m. Manchester United are willing to listen to offers. Roma, Borussia Monchengladbach and Newcastle United are all reported to be interested.

• Brentford reportedly have two potential buyers for Said Benrahma this summer, with both Crystal Palace and West Ham in the race to sign him. The Bees set a £25million price tag for the attacker.

• Bournemouth boss Jason Tindall has confirmed that no clubs have yet made an offer for Josh King. Man Utd, Aston Villa and Fulham have been linked with him.

• According to Football League World, Arsenal are one of over 10 clubs that are interested in signing Reading talent Michael Olise. Wolves and Leeds United are also keen.

• Sheffield Wednesday remain interested in doing a loan deal for Kenneth Zohore this summer, but it’s emerged that West Brom have slapped an £8m fee on the striker’s head in a bid to raise funds.

• Nottingham Forest have an option to buy Fulham loanee Cyrus Christie. The Reds have signed the defender on a season-long loan from the Cottagers. (The Athletic)

• Reading are close to securing a deal to take promising Everton defender Lewis Gibson on loan, with the Royals set to complete the deal early next week, according to the Liverpool Echo.

• Manchester City are set to accept defeat in their bid to keep Tosin Adarabioyo at the club and will reluctantly decide to sell the defender, TEAMtalk understands. West Ham, Everton, Newcastle, Fulham and Leeds have all spoken with City about a potential deal.

• Superagent Mino Raiola visited Juventus yesterday to discuss a move for Everton striker Moise Kean this summer. They have been talking for some time.

• Mundo Deportivo report that Wolverhampton Wanderers ‘appear’ for signing Barcelona’s Nélson Semedo. According to Mundo Deportivo, Semedo’s agent Jorge Mendes handles ‘important offers’ from the Premier League and Serie A. There’s no mention of offers being made, but the report adds Nuno Espírito Santo’s side are the latest club to show ‘serious interest’ in the right-back.

• Liverpool have asked about a possible loan deal for Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele. (Sport)

• Manchester City have had a 55m euro (£50.4m) bid for 21-year-old French defender Jules Kounde rejected by Spanish club Sevilla. (Marca)

• Argentinian side Estudiantes could make an effort to sign Manchester United’s Marcos Rojo on a free come the January transfer window.

• Chelsea have reached an agreement to sign Senegal international goalkeeper Edouard Mendy from Rennes, according to widespread reports.

• Liverpool are ready to add to their signings of Thiago Alcantara and Diogo Jota with a move for Schalke defender Ozan Kabak.
