• Aston Villa are favourites to sign 15-year-old centre-back Kerr Smith from Dundee United. (Dundee Telegraph)

• Wolves have reportedly put together a bid worth up to €16m for AZ Alkmaar winger Oussama Idrissi ahead of the European transfer deadline on Monday.

• Newcastle United are set to compete with Valencia to sign 26-year-old Juventus and Italy defender Daniele Rugani, who has also been linked with Fulham, West Ham United and Sevilla. (Sportitalia, via Football Italia)

• Spain defender Marcos Alonso, 29, Germany centre-back Antonio Rudiger, 27, and England midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek, 24, could all leave Chelsea before the transfer window closes. (Star)

• Middlesbrough have been linked with Wolves defender Oskar Buur, who will be allowed to leave Molineux this month.

• Chelsea star N’Golo Kante would be keen on a move to Manchester United if he leaves the west London outfit, according to a report in the Daily Star.

• Free agent Danny Simpson has been discussing his future amid reports linking him with Stoke City. Simpson is now back with Leicester, albeit only training with the Premier League side, as he looks to secure a new club.

• Newcastle United have joined Everton and Fulham in the hunt to sign Norwich City defender Ben Godfrey, Football Insider understands. Toffees said to be offering £26m bid.

• Bournemouth have dropped Josh King’s price tag to £10 million with Tottenham Hotspur keen to snap up the Norway international before Monday’s transfer deadline.

• Blackburn Rovers will not be making a move for Leeds United defender Barry Douglas, despite rumours linking him with a move to Ewood Park.

• Sheffield United are in talks to sign Huddersfield Town defender Terence Kongolo, according to Yorkshire Live. Terriers want to get him off the wage bill. Fulham certainly keen.

• Leeds United are in advanced talks with Norwich City over the signature of Todd Cantwell. The Whites have tabled a £16m bid for the English winger and agreed personal terms. (Various)

• Paperworks are signed between Lazio and Manchester United for Andreas Pereira. He will leave on loan with an option to buy for €27m.

• Leeds United have been offered the chance to snap up Juventus and Brazil attacker Douglas Costa, according to reports. Costa has rejected a transfer to Wolves. Juventus are aiming to finance a move for Fiorentina winger Federico Chiesa, but need to get Costa off their books first.

• Liverpool have received bids for Rhian Brewster, Harry Wilson and Marko Grujić. The combined prices for the trio are believed to total around the £60m mark. (Liverpool Echo)
