Bristol City are one of three Championship clubs eyeing up a move for Burnley‘s Matej Vydra. Nottingham Forest and West Brom also want him.
– Aberdeen boss Derek McInnes has promised to reject any late bids for his star players. Bristol City have been linked with a move for Scott McKenna along with Nottingham Forest and Celtic after the Robins previously held interest in the defender in the summer.
– Celtic are considering a move to sign Hull City winger Kamil Grosicki, according to reports north of the border. Nottingham Forest also linked.
– Stoke City are interested in signing Aston Villa defender James Chester as Michael O’Neill looks to bolster his defensive options in this window. (Sky Sports)
– Swindon Town are hoping to bring Bradford‘s Eoin Doyle back to the County Ground on a permanent deal, according to a report by the Telegraph and Argus.
– Phil Parkinson has said that Sunderland have received enquiries for Will Grigg – and hasn’t ruled out allowing the striker to leave before the transfer window closes this week. Swindon and Salford been linked with him this window, though it’s the Class of 92 owned side who looked closer to signing him.
– Axed Hearts captain Christophe Berra has turned down the chance to move to Salford City.
– Aston Villa have reportedly shown interest in a move for Birmingham City youngster Jude Bellingham, according to The Express journalist Duncan Castles.
– Coventry City have received and knocked back a seven figure bid from a Premier League side for star asset Sam McCallum. Manager Mark Robins hopes the club remain firm in their stance to rebuff further attempts, insisting the initial offers is “nowhere near” the club’s valuation.
– Chema Rodríguez is close to leaving Nottingham Forest and signing a three and a half year deal with Getafe.
– Mark Warburton says QPR are “not in a position to match some of the big bids being put forward by other clubs” for Burnley striker Nahki Wells.
– The Northern Echo reports that Sunderland are eyeing up a late swoop for Rangers winger Jordan Jones ahead of Friday’s transfer deadline.
– According to Phil Kirkbride of the Liverpool Echo, Everton youngster Morgan Feeney is ‘set to seal’ a loan move to Tranmere Rovers. The 20-year-old has been short of playing time in the first-team and will embark upon the first loan of his career to get competitive football.
– Charlton Athletic are keen on signing Pedro Chirivella on loan from Liverpool in January, according to South London Press.

– Southampton scouts joined their counterparts from Celtic, Queens Park Rangers and Stoke City to watch Dundee United striker Lawrence Shankland at Easter Road on Tuesday, according to The Sun.
– According to a report from Grimsby Live, League Two outfit Grimsby Town are set to complete a deal to sign French winger Elliot Grandin, formerly of Blackpool and French side Marseille.
– Middlesbrough are closing in on a contract renewal for midfielder Marcus Tavernier. Watford, Newcastle and Aston Villa have been linked with him.
– According to De Telegraaf, Hull City’s Dutch centre-back Jordy de Wijs is a target for MLS side LA Galaxy.
– Danny Cowley confirms Huddersfield Town are pulling out all the stops to make another transfer-window signing before Friday’s deadline. They’re wanting a right-sided wide man. Would like to move out Isaac Mbenza, Herbert Bockhorn or both – on loan or permanently – to make room in the squad and on the wage bill.
– Tottenham forward Troy Parrott is set to find himself at the centre of a tug-of-war between Charlton and QPR.
– Fleetwood Town have registered their interest in signing Crystal Palace midfielder Nya Kirby on loan for the remainder of the season according to journalist Alan Nixon.
