Leicester fans fight with police and stewards after losing to Aston Villa, who seal a place in the Carabao Cup Final in March.

Whilst Villa fans made way onto the pitch as soon as the final whistle blew, the away end saw Foxes supporters clash with security.

Trezeguet scored the winner in the 93rd minute strike to bring Leicester’s cup run to an end by volleying home a cross from Ahmed Elmohamady.

Shocked supporters can be heard in the background, looking down as the ugly scenes unfold. A closer look at what happened can be seen in the clip below…

Whilst Villa fans celebrated, two smoke bombs were hurled on to the pitch, sending plumes of purple and claret into the air and around the players before stewards quickly removed them.

The Premier League strugglers are expected to be fined for those breaches of security and because fans sprinted on to the pitch at full time.

Stewards had to frantically pull several Villa and Leicester players out from the crowds to the safety of the tunnel.

Most behaved well celebrating on the field, some with children on their shoulders, Leicester’s Caglar Soyuncu was consoled and others could be see shaking his hand.

However some Villa fans goaded Leicester players and Maddison appeared to get involved with fans who were taunting him.
