Tottenham’s new 2022/23 away kit dubbed ‘worst of all time’

Tottenham’s new 2022/23 away kit has been dubbed one of the club’s ‘worst of all time’ as it was unveiled on Thursday morning.

Yep, the leaks are true, Spurs will be wearing their new neon strip created by Nike, however sales might take a hit if the fan reaction is anything to go by.

The shirt has a modern yet simplistic design combing a blueish-purple base with dark navy (almost black) sleeves and a white logo, but what stands out is the Volt collar.

AIA is on the front of the Nike Tottenham 2022-2023 away jersey, while Cinch is on the left sleeve. Both sponsor logos are white, fitting in with the rest of the design. Also worth noting are the logos, which are aligned centrally on the shirt.

Template-wise, the jersey uses the new Nike 22-23 design, with the collar being the standout feature.

Black / white shorts and Volt socks complete the new Nike Spurs 22-23 away strip.

CLUB STATEMENT:

We are delighted to unveil our new Nike Away Kit for the 2022/23 season, available from today.

The only way to get your hands on the new Away Kit, and be amongst the first to wear it, is exclusively through the Club and Nike, both in-store and online – this exclusivity period runs until Wednesday (20 July).

The Away shirt is a deep lapis blue shade finished with black sleeves and flashes of volt on the neckline and cuffs, with the Club’s famous cockerel emblem front and centre.

Dare To Do Bold is the third instalment in our Dare To Do series, a five-part kit launch campaign which provides a contemporary twist on our iconic motto.

The launch video is themed around the passion and enjoyment of playing grassroots football, shot at night to a high-tempo soundtrack, with the Club’s players and fans illuminated under neon lights, echoing the shirt’s volt detailing. It celebrates individual personalities and energy, with eagle-eyed fans likely to spot nods to legendary players and moments from our history.

Our Men’s First Team will wear the new Away kit for the first time during Saturday’s pre-season friendly with Sevilla FC in Korea – streamed live on SPURSPLAY – kick-off 12pm UK. Subscribe to our new home of live and on-demand video content today so that you don’t miss out.

Fans reacted as Tottenham’s new 2022/23 away kit gets dubbed the ‘worst of all time’…

@SpursFan159684: christ the leaks were true

@KimEdwards48: Sorry but this is a dreadful kit, doesn’t anyone sign these things off.

@N17Alfie: I haven’t even brought it and I want a refund

@DMoulsdale86: Awful design! Probably the worst spurs kit ever and there has been some clangers! This looks like a training kit more than anything… let’s hope the 3rd kit is better and they wear that instead!

@Plambey: Terrible Nike template. Think it’s the same for the leaked England too? Template fit for a training top, no more

@Pat2THFC_: Truly horrific

@The_Dave_Murray: Looks like a kids wetsuit

@ShayTHFC: Whoever made that kit needs the sack

@NikeAirBrian97:
Tottenham 🤝 Nike
Uniting the fanbase on an issue…
Sadly the issue is that this kit is perhaps the worst we’ve ever been forced to look at.

@Macaully_Moffat: Love you boys but don’t pretend like this kit is good… 😂

@myagraham: Lord o mighty this is awful lads

@Fuzzn17: I don’t like it

@LewisTHFC_: Designed by Stevie wonder himself

@Jacckk_C: Looks like a training kit

@JeanetteeJensen: I don’t know about this one lads

@malex200311: If that yellow wasn’t there it wouldn’t be so bad

@MrWilliams1882: You want £75 for this 😂

@DDWilton: I just threw up in my mouth a little!

@IceBergwijn: who designs these? Need a fucking slap on their face.. a 4 year old child could have done better

@SLBTFD: This is probably one of the worst away kits I’ve ever seen us have. Makes me appreciate the crazy one last season, and the green one before that, even more so! 🤮🤮🤮

@antony_crabb: Absolutely hideous. Wow, really dreadful.

@Jonno1975: Was always going to be a tough act to follow after last season’s beauty.

@MouraThis: How can a kit be so bad that EVERYONE unanimously agrees that it’s that bad.

@AshRenno92: Nike design the most awful kits. Same template for every club. Nothing original

@Regmi38: We might just win the worst away kit of the season trophy 🏆 🤦

@Wattsyy__: What the actual fuck is this

@Makaveli_Kells: To those upset… time & effort went into this design & I think we should all just thank the 4 year old who designed this for all their hard work.

@Nigelon34: Another brutal effort from @nikefootball again 🤦‍♂️😪

@getchoboydawg: I dare you to redesign this shit
