This week’s newly unveiled kits from EFL clubs for 2020/21

We have decide to take a look a this week’s newly unveiled kits from EFL clubs for the 2020/21 season, and majority of them have gone down well with fans.

With the current campaign over and done with for many, their attentions turn to the next one, and with clubs desperately needing the cash to boost their finances, now is the perfect time to release them to supporters.

Let’s start with Accrington Stanley, who have revealed a new red home, white away and black third strip after three years of the same design.

Midfielder and kit model Sean McConville gave the new design his seal of approval: “I really like all three strips. They are even more lightweight than the previous ones, they look good and it’s nice to have a new design for a new season. We are going into a new era for football so it’s brilliant that Accrington Stanley can begin it with a new strip.”

Managing Director David Burgess said: “After three years, we felt the time was right to change the strip. Andy Holt and manager John Coleman chose the designs and colours and are really pleased with the outcome.

“We’ve obviously stayed with Stanley’s main colour of red as our home strip, it’s all red shirt, shorts and socks and the new white away kit – with black shorts and white socks – replaces the previous blue one.

“We think the third kit of black shirts, white shorts and white socks will also be popular and remain a fans’ favourite. It also makes the second and third kit shorts and socks interchangeable.”

Next up is Colchester United, who until the 2019/20 season, had blue and white stripes. The club had a plain blue home kit last season which the club say was their best selling one, and for the forthcoming one, unveiled a blue kit but with their famous eagle incorporated into the new design.

Fans will be able to have the new shirt delivered or available to Click and Collect, and it remains at £35 for children and £45 for adults.

As always, they will be able to personalise your shirt with your preferred name and number on the back, with the price again frozen at £10. The new away kit will be available very soon as well.

Ipswich Town have also unveiled their new home kit, with the club having to endure another season in League One.

As the club head into the 40th season celebration of the famous 1980/81 triumph in the UEFA Cup, Blues have worked alongside technical kit partner adidas to develop a shirt with more than a nod of recognition to Sir Bobby Robson’s successful team.

For the first time since 1995, Town’s home kit carries the historical badge which adorned the shirts on that famous night in Amsterdam. The one-off embroidered crest, which includes celebratory ‘UEFA CUP 40 YEARS’ insignia, is also added to the 2020/21 home goalkeeper kit too.

Sir Bobby famously described the 1980/81 team as ‘his greatest ever Ipswich team – the perfect jigsaw’. This quote is added to the inner back-neck of all adult and junior home shirts.

The Rank Group Plc, who owns Magical Vegas, has ‘gifted’ the front of shirt sponsorship to the charity, Carers Trust.

Another new reveal now and we check out Derby County‘s new away strip for the 2020/21 season, which is priced at £48 for adults.

The shirt has an Opal Blue pique body, peacoat dark blue sleeves with Ice Green tipping to the front shoulders. Features of the shirt include a stylised two colour round neckline, raised rubber effect crest, stacked diamond, dropped back hem and official licensed label to the side seam.

The socks are Ice Green with Peacoat dark blue ‘DCFC’ wording to back and stacked jacquard diamond, as well as cotton footbed and instep cool zone technology.

Their home kit has also been leaked on social media, fair to say it’s a lot more plain compared to this season’s.

Newly promoted Crewe Alexandra have launched their new home strip for the forthcoming season, which will see them playing League One football.

Manufactrured by Football Thailand (FBT) for the fourth season running, the striking new red shirt features a black trim that is sure to prove popular with supporters.

The red home strip is available to pre-order for supporters now with a delivery date of mid July expected. You can pre-order your new 2020-21 kit online here.

Cambridge United‘s new 2020/21 home kit is sure to sell well just like last season, after they revealed yet another popular design featuring a diagonal stripe design. It’s a beauty and our favourite of the bunch we’ve featured in the article.

Ian Mather, CEO Commented: “Whilst it remains slightly uncertain of exactly when the new shirt will be pulled on for action in front of supporters at the Abbey, we are turning to our greatest representatives, our loyal fans, to show how truly United in Endeavour we are as a Football Club.

“The Football Club continues to steer its way through the unprecedented and challenging financial climate the Coronavirus outbreak has caused. Already the support of our fans through the reaction to the two week season ticket window, the take up on the Club’s alternative approach to ticket refunds and generally the large volume of goodwill messages received from supporters in recent months, has played a significant role in managing the situation. The release of the Club’s 2020/21 home shirt and the impact Cambridge United fans can have in simply showing their colours, is another fundamental element of the Football Club’s ongoing management too.

“We hope supporters are pleased with the design and encourage them to wear it proudly with the understanding of every aspect of the Club and city that it represents.”

And last, but no means least, Rotherham United have unveiled a new contrasting pinstripe away shirt for 20/21.

The Millers unveil the first of two ‘secondary’ kits manufactured by Puma Teamwear which will be worn by the first team on their travels during the 2020/21 Sky Bet Championship campaign.

Following the successful release of their home strip – which has proven incredibly popular since its June launch – they are thrilled to be unveiling a second kit design which also incorporates features bespoke to the Millers, and is said to have similarities to their 1994 kit.
