Wrexham unveil new 2020/21 home and away kits

Wrexham have chosen Thursday morning to unveil their much anticipated new 2020/21 home and away kits via their social media account.

Yes, it’s that time of year where new shirts are unveiled as club’s start to prepare for the next upcoming season, which is planned for September.

The club said: “Wrexham AFC are delighted to reveal our bespoke Macron home and away shirts for the 2020-21 season, designed in collaboration with Spirit of 58’s Tim Williams. The shirts will be available tomorrow, when we will reveal the full launch, but for now here’s a little taster.

“Kit features embossed Mold Road stand silhouette, with custom retro-style collar on home kit and unique green away shirt – based on the club’s 1919-1921 home kit.

“Ifor Williams Trailers’ continue front-of-shirt sponsorship, taking our partnership with Britain’s best trailer manufacturer into a fifth season.

“Peter Gwyn Potatoes and AEC Engineering Ltd continue their sponsorship with the National League club.

They have said that the new strips will be available to order online from Friday.

The Welsh outfit finished the 2019/19 season in 20th place, picking up 11 wins, 10 draws and 16 defeats, meaning they had a points total of 43 points from 37 games before the the coronavirus pandemic.

The National League revealed on Wednesday that the resolution to finish the campaign on an unweighted points-per-game basis received majority support from sides in all three divisions of the National League in a vote.

The vote also means King’s Lynn Town and Wealdstone will be promoted as champions of National League North and South.

But the decision is still subject to final ratification by the FA Council.

Playoffs in all three divisions will now proceed with the clubs that qualify, subject to competition rules and government guidance on the phased return of elite sport.

There will be no relegation from National League North and National League South this season, following the Football Association’s decision in March to null and void the campaign from steps three to seven of the non-league pyramid.

The number of clubs (expected to be Ebbsfleet, AFC Fylde and Chroley) relegated from the National League will be determined to keep a 24-team league for 2020-21 following relegation from and promotion to League Two, and further promotion from National League North and South should the play-offs go ahead.
