Two teams from the non league pyramid agreed to stop their match on Saturday after the scoreline becomes too humiliating for one opposition.
On the 15th of May, a match from the Wearside League Division Two saw Wheatley Hill WMC play host to Simonside, a team that are know for getting hammered quite often.
A few people were in attendance at The Old Fire Station Park to see the home side dominate the whole came, so much so that it was ended early, leaving many baffled in County Durham.

By half time, Wheatley Hill WMC found themselves 14-0 up, one of the goals a belter and to rub it in even more, they do the booting cleaning knee celebration, caught on video by non league groundhopper Dan Bell.
The game continued and as more and more goals went it, the laughs at how they were conceded got funnier and louder from those watching on and playing the game.
Wheatley Hill WMC finish the encounter with a 19-0 victory against Simonside, though just 56 minutes of the game was played.
Bizarrely, both teams’ captains and the referee agreed to stop there and everyone packed up and left.
Dan Bell said in the video: So the referee blew the whistle half an hour early, the game has finished, it’s going to go down as the final score and everything, it’s crazy.
Simonside didn’t want to continue with the game and that was that. The manager ended up going in goal, with a jumper on and AC Milan jogging bottoms.
Watch the video of Dan Bell’s visit, it’s well worth a watch if you love proper non league grassroots football… and a good laugh really!
To show just how poor Simonside are, they have conceded 133 goals in just 12 games played for the 2020/21 campaign, and yet aren’t bottom of the table.
That goes to Hetton Juniors who have one point from 13 games played, whilst Simonside have three (thanks to one win).

Fans reacted as teams agreed to stop the match after the scoreline becomes too humiliating to continue with…
@TimGatt: More interesting than the #FACupFinal
@ColinDunn2211: Best 60 minutes ever Scott?
@Jonnogreig: You still count it as an abandoned match?
@scottsas: Yep, saw at least 45 mins
@ForeverAYellow: No way haha this couldn’t get anymore non league, classic much loved celebrations, manager going in goal, heavy scoreline, fans pitch-side having a laugh, would have so loved to be there
Will Hardy: Can’t believe what I saw today, a first for me with the game ended due to the other team being too embarrassed to carry on with it, to be honest, the way they were getting laughed at, I don’t blame them
Paul White: I love how after every goal they conceded, the keeper for Simonside kept swearing passionately, that must be one regularly frustrated guy. Still, he keeps turning out for them every week haha
Thomas Fareham: Fair play to keep playing, week in, week out, knowing it could be double figure for goals scored against
Harry Butler: I would say I feel sorry for Dan Ball and the others who attended this, travelled that way, train fare, and the game wasn’t even played a full hour. Then again he got plenty of entertainment, and probably all the non league gimics to go with it
Eddie Stimson: Oh how I would have loved to been at this
