His signing was announced by the Northern Premier League Division One North West club on their social media page hours before their league match at Kendal Town.
Monkhouse went on to make his debut, being placed straight in the starting lineup and played the whole 90 minutes.
It was going brilliantly for Tadcaster at first, finding themselves 2-0 up at the break thanks to goals from ebrun Mbeka and Jack Walters.
However the second half saw the away side’s lead falter when Kieran Maguire scored a screamer after 56 minutes, and then Patrick Allington completed Kendal’s comeback with another cracking goal. Highlights from the match can be seen below…

Tadcaster boss Paul Quinn said on Monkhouse and fellow debutant Rinor Ejupi’s performances after the game: “I thought they were excellent, both of them, I think Rinor, for his first game at this level for a young one was superb, you’ve seen what he can bring, he’s only going to get fitter and stronger as he goes on. And Monky for me, gave us a calm headed midfield able to recycle the ball for us.”
