A shocking half time exchange has been revealed after Gary Madine produces a ‘stamp’ on Perry Ng as Cardiff played host to Blackpool.
Bluebirds boss Mark Hudson made the admission via WalesOnline, claiming that Madine said he was out to “do” Perry Ng prior the incident in the second half.
Madine got on the scoreline with a leveller, but it was 15 minutes earlier that he caused chaos on the pitch with a late tackle, as can be seen on the clip below…

The Cardiff players ended up legging it over to demand that he saw a red card brandished out of referee Josh Smith’s pocket for the challenge.
He was instead awarded a yellow and scored the goal that took away two points from Cardiff. Hudson claimed that Madine said to Hudson at half time that he wanted to hurt Ng in second half.
“I’m disappointed with the fact the guy who scored their goal shouldn’t be on the pitch,” Hudson said.
“It’s pre-meditated. He said it at half-time. So we warned the ref. We warned the fourth official. He said it out loud that he was going to go out and do that. They were aware of it and it’s clear as day. It’s a stamp.”
Asked to add more what was said by Madine at the break, Hudson added: “[Madine] said he was going to go out and do Perry. Because there was a coming-together in the first half. He felt that was the way he wanted to go about it and he has gone out and done exactly what he said he was going to do.
“It’s a stamp. It’s a leg-breaker. If he gets his left planted in the floor, it’s snapping his leg. I watched it from four or five different angles, but you don’t need to. You can see it live. Pre-meditated and he hunted him down.”
Hudson went on: “When you play that well in the first half and have that many clear-cut opportunities, we should have taken the game away from them.
“We should have had a penalty in the first half. Robbo gets booked for simulation, which is baffling, I think, but we had clear-cut opportunities to take the game away from them.
“It’s disappointing, we could have been comfortable and opened up more opportunities because they are chasing the game. We have just got to know the importance of putting the ball in the net with the opportunities we are creating.”
“I understand that there are frustration,” the manager added. “It’s about sticking together. Everyone from top to bottom has to stick together. The fans, the football club and keep continuing to believe in what we are doing.”
Michael Appleton said he happy with the reaction of his players in the second half at Cardiff City.
“They showed the reaction that I wanted in the second half, they were far more aggressive with far more belief.
“I thought the substitutes were great so whether that was Ian (Poveda) coming on at half-time or CJ (Hamilton) and Jake Beesley coming on later in the game, they made a real impact. I was delighted they got at least something of what they deserved because obviously we took a point out of the game but in terms of the moments in the second half and chances, we arguably could’ve taken three points.”
Appleton pinpointed the reasons why the first half was far from his initial expectations: “There was a lack of aggression, almost a fear of space in behind. We knew they had a lot of athleticism in the team, a lot of energy in the team – I spoke yesterday about that and they obviously had pace at the top end of the pitch. Players can get obsessed sometimes with space in behind and you forget to put pressure on the ball and apply pressure in front of that.
“I think we did that in the first half so we rectified that, went 4-4-2, tried to play forward a little bit earlier, be more aggressive on the front foot and it seemed to work.”
“There’s a lot of teams above us that it keeps us in range with and we’ve got to keep picking up points,” Appleton added.
“I’ve got absolutely no doubt about it in the slightest little bit, we’ll be far, far stronger in the second half of the season. We’ve got the window that’s about to open very, very soon and we’ll have hopefully one or two players in and around it and in the eleven if possible that are going to make us better.”
The result means Blackpool are 22nd in the Championship table with 24 points from 23 games while Cardiff are 20th with 26 points from 23 played.

Here’s fans fans said on the shocking half time exchange revealed after Gary Madine produces a ‘stamp’ on Perry Ng…
@JonTucker2_: Instead of banging about conversations you have no way to prove that happened. How about be tactically aware for opposition subs?
@cardifforiginal: Some city player should have stuck one on him, gone soft us fuck we have. Fuck sake, cryarsing to the officials. Someone should have took a booking a took Madine out. Simple.
@RobRobCardiff: It’s also a clear foul on the defender before the ball comes in, Madine pushes him both hands!! Ref had a shocker all game! Stone wall peno first half and he books him 🤯🤯 #CardiffCity
@DaveRowe292: Disgraceful, could’ve seriously injured Perry Ng.
@Daniel_Rees_16: Gary madine is a mug, hopefully next game someone puts a pre meditated stamp on him and snaps his fucking leg you absolute prick
@kieran_holmes20: Love Madine but his recent attitude is unacceptable. Going out on the lash after coming off ill and now lunging at players? That’s a disgraceful challenge and I’d be screaming for a red if that was the other way round.
@muff5: Watching efl highlights. How has Gary Madine stayed on the pitch, it’s a shocker
@theliammmayo: Players who’s heads aren’t in it make challenges like that. The captain today too. Lucky to not have been sent off
@JoeGreggs53: It’s mental that Gary Madine is still getting grief off fans while Jerry Yates continues to swan round doing fuck all, week in week out
@runningtucker: Gary Madine, what a piece of shit.
@Jamie270: Hahaha can’t lie, that’s class.
@BluebirdsPast: Fuck Gary Madine.
@dan_cope14: Gary Madine is an absolute scumbag, there’s not 2 ways about that
Gary Madine said at half time he was going to “go out and do Perry” in the second half, according to Mark Hudson.

@Titch_7: I know nothing will happen especially as he got a poxy yellow but seriously @EFL saying out loud you are going hurt someone and then follow through, that’s messed up. Worse that the officials knew. No wonder they were so quick to give a yellow. Shocking.
@Gzone77: Players, fans and referees initial reaction can tell the story. Then he pulls a yellow?!?!
@biggiechris_: Fucking disgrace
@RyanODell75: I think its great, he did what he planned to do, got in their heads and caused bother, just a victim in Madines fight club. Games gone soft. Someone should have put one on madine and stop moaning😁
@Pooler_Bluebird: If he’s said that then it’s poor by a ‘professional’. Was an awful challenge and a competent referee would have sent him off.
@extravelservice: There should be a retrospective inquiry into Madine’s behaviour. I sit in the Grandstand and even saw it clear as daylight from there. I also agree, today’s referee was absolutely shocking.
@WalshyBoy3: Blackpool fan; Awful stamp by Madine, definitely should have been sent. Mark Hudson is almost definitely chatting out of his arse here though, just trying to stir to deflect from you lot losing two points.
@Africanbluebird: Surely the @EFL have to look into this. If Madine threatened to hurt Perry Ng at HT, the ref & 4th warned, he did it (a definite red) & the ref only gave a yellow, then there is something seriously wrong.. with Madine & the officials. @CardiffCityFC need to formally complain.
@henrysaye: This is Hudson deflecting from a poor result.
@BluebirdSnoop: The ref made multiple shocking decisions, I saw less biased refs in the youth leagues where the home side coach was the ref
@p78w: He was beyond appalling today; penalty, Madine challenge, Harris block and players rugby tackling Etete literally in front of him all game. Madine was a disgrace – he made a lot of £ doing absolutely nothing for this club and he acted like a thug.
@Titch_7: To be honest that is unacceptable. On those grounds not only should it have been a red but a further ban if he think deliberately hurting someone is ok
@HuwCCFC: Right in front of me, watched him line it up and launch in. The worst kind of cowardly challenge, should be handled with retrospective action.
@ScottJo42720797: That was the poorest refereeing display I’ve seen for a while. Absolute joke
@olliecmusic: He stuck to his word atleast and rattled Cardiffs whole team and fan base. Love it
@JamesCRoberts94: Couldn’t believe the refs only given a yellow, surely a ban is incoming
@rydavies: Expect to see Madine get a retrospective ban for the challenge. An absolute shocker.
@extravelservice: We started off well in the first half but the second half declined rapidly. Gary Madine should’ve had a red card without doubt. The referee needs a visit to @Specsavers too, and that was for decisions on both sides. I’m not hopeful we’ll stay up this season, hope I’m wrong.
@AlanGriff1927: i can’t hate someone more
