Second club confirm their place in 20/21 FA Vase Final

This weekend saw the second club confirm their place in the 20/21 FA Vase Final due at Wembley with the other tie played out last weekend.

Originally scheduled for the 27th of March 2021, the semi finals were postponed due to the Covid pandemic. On the 11th of March 2021, it was announced that the ties would take place on the 8th of May 2021.

Warrington Rylands knocked out Darren Byfield‘s Walsall Wood on Saturday afternoon to reach the FA Vase Final.

Halfway through the first half, Rylands counter attacked and Scarisbrick played through Kane Drummond who sat the keeper down to slot into the empty net.

On the 51st minute, Milne cut back and was brought down, giving Rylands a chance to double their lead, and that is what happened.

Nevitt sent the keeper the wrong way to make it 2-0, Warrington were cruising, however ended up with a late scare.

Tonks bent one in during injury time, making it a nail biting few minutes for Warrington, however they held one to the 2-1 win, sending them through, knowing they will have the opportunity to play at Wembley.

Binfield of the Hellenic League Premier Division took on Wessex League Division One outfit United Services Portsmouth last weekend.

It was a nervous one for both sides throughout the tie, with it having to be sorted with penalty shootout following a 1-1 draw after 90 minutes.

The opening goal came 20 minutes in, James Franklyn beat the offside trap, turned in the box and slotted the ball home.

10 minutes before the end, Liam Ferdinand took it round Price and levelled the scoreline, so down to spot kicks it was to settle it, and no doubt the biggest moment of both club’s history knowing the winners would be in a national final held at a national stadium.
