Cristian Romero puts his hands up as Tottenham fans aim a list of chants at Thomas Frank after the 2-2 draw with Burnley.
A section of the away end sang: “He’s magic you know… Mauricio Pochettino”, “Sideways and backwards everywhere we go”, “You’re getting sacked in the morning”, “We want Frank out” and “Thomas Frank, your football is shit!” throughout and after the game.
Cristian Romero’s 89th-minute header snatched a leveller for Spurs, rescuing a point when Burnley looked set for their first Premier League home win in 14 games.
Tottenham had gone ahead through Micky van de Ven on the 38th minute, but Axel Tuanzebe then made it 1-1 just before half time.
Burnley went 2-1 up through substitute Lyle Foster on 76 minutes, Burnley goalkeeper Martin Dubravka made a number of outstanding saves, then came the late equaliser for Tottenham, although whether it buys under-pressure Spurs head coach Thomas Frank some time, remains to be seen.

Tottenham manager Thomas Frank, speaking to BBC Match of the Day: “A very good first half, except for the last shot.
“It was a game we dominated and create chances, scoring a goal. Should have scored a second one. Then we are out of sight.
“We can never, ever, ever concede that goal just before half-time.
“Second half was a bit more back and forth, we were not on top of it as much. I don’t think we dealt well enough with that spell.
“Then we concede another bad goal, we can never concede. We should never be that open.
“Then we had a strong end with strong character with a lot of offensive subs to get the equaliser. We had three or four very big chances and scored one of them.
“This is a game where we created a lot, do more than enough to win the game. We just didn’t defend well enough in two situations.
“We created a lot of chances today, which has sometimes been the problem. Today we did that. Normally we have been quite strong defensively but we can never concede those two goals.”
On Burnley goalkeeper Martin Dubravka’s performance: “He had a fantastic game with some fantastic saves. Praise to him.”
On if he can focus on the character to come back: ” It’s very important to focus on the start of the game. And the first half is really good. We came here, on top of it, creating chances, 1-0 and could have scored a second one.
“Then it’s important to focus on how strong we ended with that character to keep fighting. But we have to improve the bit in the middle.”
On pressure: “I know but you can’t say we didn’t do everything to win. We just need to keep improving. The only way it can be is calm heads, carry on and keep doing what we think is the right thing.
“You see the game today. We do more than enough to win the game, we just need to defend better in two situations. And, of course, score another goal that could make the difference at 1-0.”

Burnley manager Scott Parker, speaking to BBC Match of the Day: “I think we did [enough to win the game].
“You score the second and take the lead, you understand that at that moment, they’re going to commit a lot more men forward and the centre-half they commit ends up scoring the goal.
“A little bit disappointing, no doubt, because you’re that close and in the last dying seconds you concede. But overall, really pleased with my team.
“I thought we showed an incredible spirit today and showed our quality at time. After going a goal down, our response from superb. Just disappointed we didn’t hold on.”
On reaction to going behind: “That’s the key. In our position, we’re in and around it. Human natural is that in these moments you can become very nervy, very edgy but I’ve not seen that from my group this season.
“Our reaction was superb. We need to continue where we’re going. If you look at the start of this season, we’ve improved massively.
“We’ve played Manchester United and Liverpool, and improved in our second performance. Now we’ve played Tottenham, who we played opening day, and at times looked a little bit startled and we’ve put in another good performance here.
“I know we need some wins, I’m not hiding from that fact, and we were close to day, but there has been some real improvement.”
On Lyle Foster sub: “We needed to freshen things up, the boys gave everything. Lyle comes in and scores a goal, which was brilliant. This is a tight group, a together group and we need everyone to give us a chance.
“We’ve spoken about the fine margins throughout this year and again there has been massively improvement for sure. Some real positives today and we’ll take them and carry them forward with us.”
On turning draws into wins: “No denying that, we’re at that point now. Can we turn these draws into wins? That’s what we’ll endeavour to do.”
Tottenham midfielder Xavi Simons, speaking to PLP: “We wanted to win and the two goals we conceded are not acceptable. It’s a shame but we have to go on.
“In general, yes [we deserved to win], but you have to win here – even if the keeper has a great match. We have to score those goals and we have to win.”
On Burnley’s goals: “We cannot concede this goal one minute before half-time and the second goal as well, I think we can avoid this.”
On fighting back to draw: “We know how good we are on set pieces and crosses, and the two centre-backs Micky [van de Ven] and Cristian [Romero] are good there. Really good.
“The only solution is to keep working. That’s how we do it.”
Burnley goalscorer Lyle Foster, speaking to PLP: “Disappointment. We did well to get ourselves in the game, especially with the first goal in the first half.
“Second half we were good as well, got the second goal and unfortunate not to keep [the lead] and get three points.
“The boys were doing very well today and I came in, and they made it quite easy for me.
“Overall, the dressing room is disappointed because I felt we could have taken all three points.
“Happy with the team performance but feel we should be getting more, and deserved more.
“Most important is that we didn’t lose but we need that win now so the tide can turn and the confidence can grow.”
Here’s how fans reacted after Cristian Romero puts his hands up as Tottenham fans aim a list of chants at Thomas Frank after the 2-2 draw with Burnley…
@JamesSm11221027: This is so dreadful to watch, the board should never ever of allowed this to turn this toxic against a manager. Just put him out of his misery please. It’s so painful for everyone
@callummaguire96: Feel for Frank here. Every game he could easily walk down the tunnel and have nothing to do with this lot. But he takes it on the chin and claps them every game! Sacking Frank will do nothing. Clubs a mess! But these lot won’t see that!
@leewrig36514465: What a mess this club is. Clueless manager money spent on strikers that can’t score goals. Won’t sack him because no one I’ll want to manage a club that enic has ruined
@Billytheyid70: Two points out of a possible fifteen points from Brentford, Sunderland, Bournemouth, West Ham and fuckin Burnley YEH LETS KEEP HIM #coys #thfc #frankout
@Rob51coys: Romario has nothing to apologise for. His effort was obvious. However the tactics in the second half were shocking. The failure to recognise several players were knackered, & complete lack of desire from TF to improve/change things is not fitting of a PL manager.
@M3lvyntottenham: I am done with Frank. Tel on the bench. 5 defenders vs Burnley. Embarrassing
@Billytheyid70: Has he gone yet @SpursOfficial. Sack him now sack him now sack him now sack him now @SpursOfficial #COYS #THFC
@KevJStewart: Have to be winning that. Draw not good enough. You try to find positives, but the reality is there are none, are there? Frank has to go, and that’s the least of our worries. Ownership aren’t going anywhere, team is awful… we’re in deep trouble… #EPL #BURTOT #THFC #COYS
@SimonDemetriou1: The fans need to stop going to the games until they sell the club
