Richard Keys takes a bizarre swipe at Marcus Rashford and Conor Coady when spouting off in his latest column via his own website.
The former Sky Sports presenter has strangely gone in on the Manchester United and England player, urging him to refocus on football instead of helping tackle child poverty.
Keys, who was sacked with Andy Gray in 2011 for sexist remarks, wrote that Rashford should “Leave it there” in regard to his admirable work off the pitch.

The 64-year-old hit out at Coady’s comments from earlier this week whilst on international duty.
The player stated that the England squad will use their platform to highlight human rights abuses in Qatar ahead of next year’s World Cup.
“Will you use your platform to highlight abuses in Saudi when Newcastle come calling in January – offering to fatten up your bank account?” Keys asks of the Wolves man, before swiftly taking aim his criticism at Marcus Rashford.
“This is where it gets complicated when pop stars/footballers and the like start to want to get taken seriously – and they forget about the day job.”
It’s utterly baffling how anyone can have a pop at what Rashford is doing, especially when he recently was awarded an MBE by Prince William for his work in helping tackle childhood poverty around the United Kingdom, something which has become tougher for families due to the pandemic, with many going jobless.
Keys also chose to echo Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s recent comments – in which the Norwegian told the Premier League star to “prioritise his football”.
“Rashford has made 183 appearances for United and scored 57 goals – one every 3.21 games. Making 46 appearances for England he’s scored 12 goals – one every 3.83 games. For a striker – is that enough?”
Rashford has reportedly taken offence to words from the Man Utd boss, who spoke highly of his player’s conscientiousness, but alongside that was a rather pointed remark about staying focused on football itself.
His words of encouragement have backfired, with the suggestion that the 23-year-old didn’t appreciate the feedback.
According to Atheltic reporter David Ornstein, the player felt as if he didn’t need to be reminded of his obligations to football, or indeed his club.
“Sources close to Rashford are unhappy that Solskjær felt the need to mention his priorities, because regardless of the intent it was interpreted by many as a reminder that the attacker’s focus must be on his day job,” Ornstein claimed on Twitter.

Twitter users reacted as Richard Keys takes a bizarre swipe at Marcus Rashford and Conor Coady, see what they had to say on it all below…
@MaximumNUFC_: i wonder if he will now resign from Bein sports as they are a company based in qatar or maybe not, as they do fatten up his bank account…
@fletchof205: The man is a parody, an absolute dinosaur plying his trade in an area of the world that has no respect for women as he fits right in
@_CFCEthan: Didn’t this guy get fired from Sky and banished to Qatar for misogynistic comments while on air?
@SBTMitchell: When International Relations and sport collide: Richard Keys, a relic of man who works for Qatar owned BeIN Sports attacks Howe who works for Saudi owned NUFC, then later implicitly defends his paymasters. Even an oaf like Keys must see the hypocrisy.
@creasedogg: What a prick Keys is!
@PeeWeePerkins: Maybe stick to shaving your hands Keys?
@HowesTheBacon: I’d suggest that we cancel Richard Keys but Sky Sports did that years ago. This is just him trying to be relevant but making himself a laughing stock.
@The_comic: As a non politician, commenting on political statements isnt Keys breaking his own rule here?
@dogavic: I would tell Richard Keys to get back to what he’s good at, but I have absolutely no idea what that might be
@TheMarkGordon: Another rambling stream of pish from Keys, contradicting himself along the way. As for asking if Coady has been in touch with Khashoggi’s wife, good grief.
@FrankieXBarrett: Richard Keys is the worst person in football
@Ted246_: Staggering.
@toddsta96: The self importance this man has is truly staggering! If I’d *allegedly* cheated on my dying wife, the last thing I’d be doing is preaching about morality 🙄
@Dwarfio: Never trust anyone who wouldn’t need a make-up department to star in Teen Wolf
@lukristofer: Keys will do anything to protect his salary
@nufcollie18: He literally works for Bein… who are from Qatar…
@Madmagpie852075: He needs to feel relevant but struggles with the concept
So, in the very same article, Richard Keys told Eddie Howe that he can’t “just stick to football” before telling Conor Coady and Marcus Rashford that they should both “just stick to football”…
Soooo which one is it then, hairy hands?🤔
