Pundits and clubs have stated how much they are in favour of non league football over the newly announced pay-per-view Premier League TV games.
A huge amount of fans have been left furious by the Premier League’s latest statement on watching matches on TV, which was issued on Friday afternoon.
So far, the Premier League have been showing every match on television during the first month of the 2020/21 season, and the last few months of the 2019/20 season.
The 3rd of October was supposed to see fans in the stands in test events, however with the number of coronavirus cases on the rise, those were abandoned.
The Premier League has announced that all non-televised fixtures until the end of October will now be made available live on pay-per-view in the UK.
The 20 clubs came to the interim decision after a meeting on Friday in order to “enable all fans to continue to watch their teams live”. Even Gary Neville is left raging with the decision.
Sky and BT Sport will now charge Premier League fans £14.95 to watch their team on Box Office.
A big chunk of top flight fans as well as those further down the English football pyramid have said that kind of money would be much more beneficial to non league teams.
You could potentially watch around three non league (depend son what level) compared to that PPV price.
As can be seen below, pundits and clubs are in favour of non league football over pay-per-view Premier League TV games…
Fuck the Premier League. My advice, take that £14.95 and spend it on going to a local non league game and having a couple of pints ? https://t.co/1Qvmbdc3b7

Sod the premier league. Aston Villa are my team through and through, but you can be damn sure I’ll be spending my £15 regularly on non-league @Falmouth_Town instead. Support your non-league local clubs, instead of this nonsense! They need it more. ⚽️@NonLeagueCrowd @PacketMatt https://t.co/W43zOxuklP

Pay £14.95 to sit indoors & watch a Premier League game which is a sterile version of the game I played??? No thanks, you’re alright, I’ll go watch my local non league club, have a pint & chips & gravy & support my community #LetFansIn

Think I’ll take the £15 Sky and BT want me to spend to watch a Brighton home game I’ve already paid for as a season ticket holder and give it to a #NonLeague club who need it far more than the Premier League
There’s taking the piss, and then there is taking the fucking piss

Too right, that’s what I shall be doing. Non league footy is the future. Premier league are taking the piss. https://t.co/fAq5VZefFk

Pissed off at having to pay £15 to watch your team play on the telly with fake crowd noises? Go to a #NonLeague game instead. You can have a pint whilst you watch, the players are still allowed to tackle & the #grassroots club will be so grateful for your money. #PremierLeague pic.twitter.com/naBClreLPl

When you spend £14.95 with us, you’re getting a game of football in the flesh with a pint in your hand. You can celebrate a goal knowing it isn’t getting ruled out 5 minutes later. You know that your money is going into your local community, not into the hands of billionaires. https://t.co/jYYvZVH8pH

LEAGUE STATEMENT:
The Premier League today confirmed all fixtures until the end of October will continue to be made available for fans to watch live in the United Kingdom.
Under these new arrangements, the current live match selections will remain in place and will be broadcast as normal.
In addition, the five matches per round not already selected will be made available to supporters on a pay-per-view basis, accessed via BT Sport Box Office and Sky Sports Box Office platforms.
Clubs today agreed this interim solution to enable all fans to continue to watch their teams live.
The Premier League has worked closely with Sky Sports and BT Sport to provide this arrangement and is grateful for their support.
The agreement will be regularly reviewed in consultation with clubs and in line with any decisions made by Government regarding the return of spectators to stadiums.
Football is not the same without supporters at matches. The Premier League and our clubs remain committed to the safe return of fans as soon as possible.

It’s no wonder pundits, leagues and clubs are even more in favour of non football than top flight football following that announcement.
