Fans left bemused for this bizarre reason when watching Bolton v Grimsby on iFollow

Fans were left bemused for one particular bizarre reason when watching Bolton v Grimsby on the every controversial iFollow service this afternoon.

Viewers tuned into watch Saturday’s League Two clash between the two sides at the University of Bolton Stadium, however there was some added entertaining if you like when watching the game online.

Commentary was not a problem for those tuning in during the first half of the game, however in the second 45 minutes, fans ended up listening to music which was being played out on Bolton FM, rather than the in-game commentary.

It was only until one fan figured out that you had to click on ‘away’ commentary in order to solve the problem, to get back to the game and without listening to some potentially dodgy tunes being played out.

You could say that was as entertaining as it got during the whole 90 minutes with the game finishing a goalless 0-0.

With supporters unable to watch their team’s matches in the stands right now due to the coronavirus pandemic, they are now having to turn the online streaming service.

However it’s had many a problem since it’s launch in 2018, some of those issues includes in-game ‘small disruption’, fans unable to get any sort of picture, poor quality, getting automatically logged out and of course the one we’ve talked about in this… the commentary. That’s just some of a long list.

EFL state to many a supporter who has a problem on iFollow: “The EFL is aware that a number of technical issues resulted in a disrupted #iFollow service for a number of clubs and their supporters. The live chat support service is available and via ifollow@efl.com. The iFollow team and suppliers are working hard to resolve any issues that are reported week to week and will continue to do so.”

Sometimes not even the live chat is working so you can’t get any assistance. Fans are now starting to fell like they have been robbed of the fee they have paid to watch or at least attempt to view the games.

As mentioned, fans were left bemused for this bizarre reason when watching Bolton v Grimsby on iFollow…
