Port Vale manager Jon Brady makes promise as he issues passionate message to supporters

Port Vale manager Jon Brady makes a promise as he issues a passionate message to supporters, days after a 4-0 defeat to Wycombe.

He acknowledged the disappointing season his side have endured, praising supporters for their passion and commitment, while also making clear he wants to build a hard-running, fighting team that represents the club properly.

The message came minutes before they announced 2026/27 season tickets had gone on sale, with prices frozen for the third consecutive season.

He said in a video posted on the clubs socials: “I wanted to say something to you, our supporters. Since I came into this football club, one thing’s obvious straight away. You care. You travel in your numbers, you turn up, and you demand high standards. That’s exactly how I see football as well.

“This season hasn’t been anywhere near what any of us want it to be. Not for you, not for the players, and certainly not for me.

“But I can promise you this, there’ll be no hiding because success doesn’t happen by accident. Start with a blueprint, lay foundations, you put the right people in place and that work has already started. Building a team that runs hard and fights even harder representing this football club the way it should be represented. A team that gives you something to believe in when you walk through the turnstiles. Scrapping for every ball, fighting for the badge. That’s our job.

“And I’ve seen what this place can be like when everyone’s together. You feel it on the pitch, you’ve seen it in the big moments. That’s got to be the standard now, not the exception. And then you build it together. If you’re with us, great. If you’re unsure, I understand that too.

“What I can tell you is this, we will give absolutely everything to move this football club forward again. That’s the challenge. That’s the fight. Are you up for it? Because you can bet everything you’ve got. We certainly are.”

CLUB STATEMENT:

Port Vale Football Club are delighted to announce that season tickets for the 2026/27 season are now on sale, with general admission prices frozen for the third consecutive season and Under-12 season tickets free-of-charge in the Hamil Road Stand.

The freeze means that adult season tickets start from just £14.56 per game, seniors from just £11.52 per game, young adults and students from just £9.78 per game and young teens from just £6.73 per game as supporters get behind the Valiants once again.

Ahead of Jon Brady’s first summer and pre-season with the Valiants, we hope as many Vale supporters as possible will join us at Vale Park and buy into the journey, backing us every step of the way.

Despite another year of rising operational costs for clubs across the country, the decision to freeze prices again reflects our ongoing commitment to keeping football accessible. We want you to be able to follow the Valiants without facing additional financial pressure.

An early-bird window is again included within the pricing structure, giving you more time to secure the best value available.

Following its successful introduction last season, the six-month payment plan will also return alongside the existing three-month option, giving you even more flexibility when securing your seat. Further details on our interest-free plans can be found below.

Port Vale’s Chief Executive Officer, Matt Hancock said: “This season has been a difficult one and we’re very aware of that. You’ve stuck with the club through it all and we felt it was important to recognise that when it came to season ticket pricing. Freezing prices again felt like the right thing to do.

“Jon is already building something here that we all believe in and he’ll be given the resource he needs to improve the squad further during the summer. We’re asking you to stay with us and get right behind the team once again, because we know that Vale Park can be a really powerful place when it’s united behind our manager and players. That support will be hugely important as we move into the new season.”

Early bird season tickets for the 2026/27 season – offering the best value to supporters – are available now until Tuesday 5th May 2026, with current season ticket holders having their seats reserved until 1st June 2026.

In the first instance, we would request that you renew and purchase their tickets via port-vale.co.uk/tickets

We’re aware there may be a small number of supporters who may be unable to use the ticketing portal. Where possible, we will gladly assist in-store.

Please note: The club store will be unable to handle season ticket requests during core hours on a home matchday.

A full breakdown of the payment windows and prices can be found below.

Here’s the social media reaction after Port Vale manager Jon Brady makes a promise as he issues a passionate message to supporters…

@BenjaminGrocott: I’ve no doubt Jon is up for it and trust hell do away with the players that don’t represent his values, bit I’m more concerned about those above him. Same mistakes are made every 2 years and you just get pathetic excuses when you call It out. suppose heinsight is 20/20 after all

@tomclarke1: The fact the players don’t want to run though a brick wall for his man, shows of dreadful they all are.

@DPW1983pvfc: I believe he will 100% get us back up next year. He will know by now who is and isn’t up for the fight and they will be gone. Lots of new faces in the summer and I’m calling it now we will be champions. 🖤🤍 #pvfc

@TheValiants1876: This man is the only good thing going at the club #PVFC

@MxndaJay: I’d certainly run through 5 brick walls back to back for this man. 🤩 Get the right players on board next season and we’ll be back in no time 💪🏼 🤍🖤

@pvfc180: Love Brady , hate the team of bottle jobs we’ve got hope he can get it right, a lot of the lads don’t deserve to play in the football league ever again after the season 👍
