looked at a map of Woking? There are a small number of roads coming into town all of which are single carriageway with lots of existing housing. The Council is living in Fairyland if it thinks people are going to give up their cars.

@tjmoore: 10,000 seater… For non league Woking who averaged 1883 last year (down on previous), max 4589 and record 7020 back in 1958! And what about road links and parking if they did draw bigger crowds? They won’t be allowed half that capacity.
@tjmoore: Feel sorry for the club and fans being abused in this way to con the public into backing a massive inappropriate out of character housing development that benefits the council execs and no one else. Affordable housing? Yeah right.
@tjmoore: Consultation is a farce. Loaded questions and not agreeing to at least 10 story towers is not an option. Not obvious at least. Objecting to the redevelopment of the stadium might put the stoppers on it, but then it’s pushed as great for the community so how many would say no?

@bigboyrich5: What a shame, surrounded with blocks of flats, going to ruin the area. I can understand a new stadium but not all the other building works, too much of this at the moment
