In what was an entertaining draw at Elland Road, Patrick Bamford and Yerry Mina wrestle whilst object is chucked at Luca Digne.
Leeds United fans didn’t get the victory they wanted as they watched Premier League football the West Yorkshire outfit for the first time since 2004, the score finishing 2-2 with Everton.
It might not have been a win but the clash was well worth the admission fee with stunning goals, penalty drama, and some feisty clashes playing out on pitch.
Rafael Benitez’s visitors opened the scoring as Dominic Calvert-Lewin slotted home a penalty, running along the edge of the pitch showing Leeds fans his name on the back of his shirt.
But before the break, Mateusz Klich equalised to send the home support wild, a long awaited first Premier League goal to have witnessed live in person if you are a Whites supporter.
Patrick Bamford and Yerry Mina decided to have it out for much of the game, some would say it was more like a wrestling match during the first period, upping the frantic pace of the game.
While half time cooled the heads of many, Demarai Gray and Raphinha then shipped in goals during the second period to square up before the final whistled called time on an enthralling encounter.
Bamford and Yerry Mina was seen clashing by the corner flag, with Jordan Pickford having to get involved to calm the situation down.
There were a couple of kicks, some pushing, and some grappling, resulting in a booking each, but talkSPORT pundit Perry Groves felt it was all a bit pantomine.

“That was a bit like wrestling, WWE,” he said. “Yerry Mina fell on the floor two or three times, got up and fell back down again.
“To be fair to Mina he kept possession really well by the corner flag and then there was a little coming together with Patrick Bamford. It was playground stuff, to be fair.”
There was, though, one unsavoury scene with an object thrown, seemingly a lighter, towards Everton’s French full-back Lucas Digne.
And Perry Groves condemened the incident, insisting the culprit should be found and punished.
He added: “Let’s hope they have got CCTV and whatever idiot has thrown that towards him, or at him, on the pitch is ejected and they get banned for life.”

Man of the Match: Demarai Gray
Leeds head coach Marcelo Bielsa: “We had a dominance of the game but with that superiority with the management of the ball we should have created more chances on goal and suffered fewer chances on our goal. Our goalkeeper made two interventions that we valued as a goal in our favour today and allowed us to get the draw.
“The public is always a stimulus and the presence of the spectators is very important. It made us very happy, and it was very emotional to play in front of them again.”
Everton manager Rafa Benitez: “I’m really happy with the way we managed the game against a team playing at home with their fans back for the first time in a long time. The reaction was very good, we were under pressure but we had good chances and little by little we got stronger and stronger.
“If Dominic had scored the third goal, we could have been talking about a different result. But we are growing, I can see that we are growing, and if you grow while taking points that is a good thing.”

Patrick Bamford after Mina tries taking the throw in
“Well in ya shit cvnt”
21/08/21 – Elland road
@Yettyny: Man brought Copa America football to the PL.. He thought he’s playing with the likes of Vidal
@apopey: The Bamford v Mina tussle was just 1 of so many great aspects of the match.
@Ninet9twoclub: Feel for the referees – professional footballers deliberately cheating to gain an advantage – who would be a referee. It really is embarrassing – I wonder if the managers of both clubs pull them to one side in training this week and tell them to cut it out. Disgraceful
@jacobduscher8: That Everton bloke was proper weird man
@davidflynn36: Embarrassing
@YotsuWBA: what the hell was wrong with mina
@KN3Official: nah why did he get up and hug him 😭😭😭
@MaracasFlute: I think my brain has imploded. Every frame appears to be a random configuration of his body
@Brownie89: How the f*** did bamford get booked here???
@GerardMcL: Worst part of all that was Bamford holding his arm like he got booted
@JosephY180205: Mate. Not being funny but I was sat just out of the shot. He lifted his sleeve up and had blood running down his arm. You won’t believe me but it’s true
@GlenH84: DCL, Mina & Digne having to influence the ref because they can’t influence the game enough themselves
@lukecorcoran: Bamford got booked here. More top quality ref work in the EPL.
@ANKoivisto: He fouled him at least twice there tbf
@syndex101: When Pickford is the voice of reason there is a problem
@aspey_9: Both of em should go to dance lessons
@JThompson_8: Biggest shithouse in the prem at the minute
@_HopperLUFC: Kicked out at Bamford and left a mark on his arm, Bamford shows the referee, no red card, no VAR check either. I’m still baffled, should’ve been a free kick to us as soon as Mina flopped on top of the ball anyway.
@P4trick_Jr: Look like a Charlie Chaplin clip
@leemiller67: Wit the fuck is that
@keironw22: Mina was pathetic all game, knew what he was doing trying to get players sent off by ‘acting’.
