Sheffield United’s Oli McBurnie has been told ‘to meet police or be ARRESTED’ as he replies to a user over the video of his alleged stamp.
McBurnie, 25, has denied the stamp on Twitter but according to Sky Sports News, he will be arrested if he doesn’t attend voluntarily.
The incident occurred in Tuesday’s Championship playoff semi-final. His side were beaten on penalties in their second leg at the City Ground, failing to secure a place in the final with Huddersfield in the Wembley final later this month.

After goalkeeper Brice Samba prevented Morgan Gibbs-White’s spot kick from 12 yards to send Forest through, home supporters invaded the pitch to celebrate their win, only for it to turn nasty.
Sky Sports cameras got a video of a horrifying moment Billy Sharp, 36, was sent to the ground after being headbutted in the technical area by a fan.
Robert Biggs, 30, has since been jailed for 24 weeks and banned from football for 10 years after pleading guilty at Nottingham Magistrate’s Court.
Footage circulated after on social media with team-mate McBurnie jumping and stamping on a Forest supporter allegedly went for Rhian Brewster.
The shocking clip, posted by Twitter user @brokenkingmusic, caught the fan in question falling on the ground before McBurnie came in and ‘stamps’ on the helpless fan.
After the Scotland international gets eventually pulled away by one of his teammates, the fan then slowly arises to his feet as the clip comes to an end.
Despite being accused of stamping on the fan, McBurnie has since denied doing just that and instead suggested he was trying to step over him on the floor.
He replied to a post on Twitter which read: ‘Wish that @oli_mcburnie video was in full context – looks more like he was trying to step over him with one bad leg! Could be wrong!’
McBurnie issued a ‘100 percent’ emoji, and indication that he was in agreement with the user’s version of events.

Twitter users reacted with Oli McBurnie told ‘to meet police or be ARRESTED’ as he replies to a user over the stamp video…
@Thomas_Palmer88: What rubbish. I was stood by the home dugout and watched him kick the lad on the floor multiple times. No way was he getting out the way. He was bantered by fans all game and he snapped, lost his head massively
@tufty_club: Couldn’t get his leg over. Often have that problem myself
@Undercover_Tarn: Amazing how trouble always seems to follow you and it is never your fault. If I had a bad leg I would walk around someone not try and walk over them.
@Hamish_Coventry: Yep, step over him repeatedly and missing 😂 hope the police are having a word.
@li4mlufc: If Oli McBurnie doesn’t receive a 24 week sentence there’s a problem
@Tommyswfc: We all regularly walk past people on deck stamping feet down with visible face anger…
@AshleyNF1: Initially I though you might be onto something. That was however, until I slowed the video right down. You notice at around 6 seconds, you’ve stepped over the fan, your foot goes back in for another kick. Was this accidental too?
@Gilbrxh: Don’t backtrack is lad, you went in for a second kick before the camera cut off 😂 if you want to be a cretin at least own your to it when you’re caught
@BankzyNFFC: Instead of a prison sentence Sheffield United should have to play him every game, much worse punishment
@JohnTheTim1: Spare a thought for Oli McBurnie. 28 appearances (as a striker), ZERO goals, retweeting *rangers tweets last night and watching them get beat. His own team papped out the play-offs and now been “invited” to speak to the polis for stamping on a Nottingham Forrest fan.
@DS215uk: When you do wrong, be a man & own up to it. Pathetic excuse
@Simon_eaton1: The bloke who was stamped on would be a fool to come forward and submit a complaint because he’ll get a ban for entertaining the field of play. #nffc
