Nick Haughton scores a ridiculous goal from inside his own half for AFC Fylde in their defeat against Wealdstone at the weekend.
The hosts produced a comeback to beat their ten-man opposition and move the Stones up to fifth place in the National League table, while the Coasters are 16th just four games into the 2023/24 season.
Goals from Tahvon Campbell and Gold Omotayo were cancelled out by Nick Haughton and Nathan Ferguson respectively, before Campbell hit a 99th minute winner to seal his brace and ensure the Stones claimed all three points.
But it was one goal in particular that went viral online, and you can see a video of it below…
Wealdstone wrote: “It was the Adam Murray’s men that seized the advantage on the 57th minute in sublime fashion when Haughton spotted Ward off of his line and hit a superb strike from inside his own half that flew over Ward into the net.”
AFC Fylde said: “The Coasters were ahead on 56 minutes in spectacular circumstances. Haughton collected possession, spotted Ward off his line and struck from inside his own half, floating an audacious effort over the ‘keeper and into the net.”

Another outrageous gone viral wonder goal at the weekend came from Tom Broadbent, who sealed a 1-0 win for South Shields against Scarborough Athletic on Saturday afternoon.
Boro created the better chances, but ended up on the losing side following a stunning long-range strike midway through the second half.
The deadlock broke on 68 minutes with Broadbent collecting the ball on the halfway line, stepped forward and spotted Whitley off his line before smashing it past him from 45 yards out.
We’ve been trying to find the words to accompany this goal. But not many would do it justice, so just watch. And watch. And watch.
