VIDEO: Neil Lennon hints at wanting job in England

Neil Lennon has been without a job since he left Scottish Premiership side Hibernian last month after two and a half years in charge, but he’s recently opened up how keen he is to return to management again.

He appeared on Sky Sports’ The Debate last week and has said that he is happy to many anywhere across the globe, but has hinted that he is keen to returning to England.

He said: “There’s not much in Scotland for me to do I don’t think, so again you look over the border, or you look abroad. I’ve European experience with His, and of course during my four years at Celtic as well. They were great experiences, and I’ve got that on CV.

“Ideal, going back to England would be fantastic, but if an opportunity came up that I really fancied, even abroad, then that is something I would look at.

“If there’s not the opportunity to work at the level I would want to work at, then I would look on the continent, even to America or the Far East or Australia.

“Anything really! I’m not desperate, I just love the game.”

Neil Lennon’s last and only managerial job in England was with Bolton Wanderers for two years, who are currently three points from safety in the Championship relegation zone.

Previous to them, he had a four year spell at Celtic where he won five trophies.

He has also in the last few days stated that would seriously consider a job in Scotland again if a role became available.

He said, as quoted by BBC Sport: “It’s been my home here for 20 years and I’ve loved it and it’s gone well for me,” said Lennon of Scotland.

“Maybe looking abroad, maybe try something different, but if something in Scotland came along and appealed to me then of course I’d give it some serious consideration.”

Following Neil Lennon’s comments on Sky Sports stating that he is happy to many anywhere across the globe, but has hinted that he is keen to returning to England, fans took to Twitter to give their thoughts on what he had to say with some suggesting they’d have him back – take a look at those tweets on the next page.
