As we now wait for the summer transfer window to arrive, we’ve taken a look at every Championship club’s record transfer signings.
Majority of those have come within the last two seasons, but there are a few players from even longer ago that still remain a few club’s biggest, one of those being from as far back as 2000. There was also one player that has appeared twice from two different clubs.

Millwall’s record transfer signing is Ryan Leonard for a reported transfer fee of £1.5m.

22) PRESTON NORTH END (2001)
Preston North End’s record transfer signing is David Healy for a reported transfer fee of £1.5million. Although it is said by Lancashire Live that Brad Potts, who signed in January 2019, is in fact the record signing (in excess of £1.5million.

21) READING (2017)
Reading’s record transfer signing is Tiago Ilori for a reported transfer fee of £3.75million.
