National League player joins Love Island with ‘matter to be reviewed on his return to club’

National League player Jamie Allen joins the 2022 series of Love Island with the ‘matter to be reviewed on his return to the club.

The FC Halifax Town forward, who can play up front or on the wing has ditched pre-season preparations it seems in order to go on the ITV2 show.

His club said: “Jamie Allen has decided to join the cast of ❤️ Island 2022, making his intentions clear that the opportunity is very important to him. The matter will be reviewed on his return.”

Viewers of Love Island will welcome four new additions on Wednesday evening, just as two Islanders are dumped from the villa.

Jamie Allen

Allen, 27, began his footballing career at Fleetwood Town and has also played for clubs such as Barrow, Southport and Dover Athletic and also played international football for Montserrat.

He joined the Shaymen for the 2019 season and featured 20 times last season, scoring three goals, as they finished in the playoffs.

For those watching, you may recall that it’s down to the girls and boys who survived the latest vote off, deciding who to dump out of Billy, Dami, Summer and Danica.

However, by the end of the episode, there will be four bombshells heading into the villa to stir things up according to reports.

The group will be greeted with a text inviting them to get ready to host welcome drinks for four new arrivals Jamie, Reece, Lacey and Nathalia.

It’s not yet clear who has gone home, with the result to be aired in the latest episode this week.

What is known is that the girls must choose to save Dami or Billy, and the boys must save either Summer or Danica.

Those who aren’t saved, one girl and one boy, will be saying their goodbyes and heading back home – as confirmed by host Laura Whitmore.

Those saved will learn four newbies are on the way.

As Lacey, 25, makes her way in she declares: “I am a sexy, single, show girl ready to turn some heads.”

Pro footballer Jamie, 27, adds: “I shoot, I usually score, if I want something, I’ll go and get it.”

Brazilian social media influencer Nathalia, 23, says: “I am going to bring the South American spice into the Villa, I can’t wait to get my flirting game on, the girls better watch out.”

Meanwhile, Coventry based 23-year-old model Reece says: “I definitely think the boys are going to be worried about me, I am tall, dark and handsome, what more does a girl want?”

Whether some of the couples will see their heads turned remains to be seen, while there are some single Islanders on the show.

Three of which are at risk of being dumped, so whether they will get to enjoy new company is not yet known.
