National League North & South Playoff Final results – who has won promotion?

Today saw the playoff finals for the National League North and South divisions with the winning teams earning promotion to the National League.

Chorley, Spennymoor Town, Welling United and Woking were all hoping to do so with the latter hoping to go up back to where they were last season at the first attempt.

The first team to seal their place in the highest tier of the non league pyramid was Woking as they managed to beat Welling 1-0.

The first chance of the game saw Welling hit the post and rebounded into the keeper’s hands half an hour into the match.

Armani Little hit a superb free kick from 25 yards out to put the Cards ahead minutes before half time.

No more goals could be found for the remainder of the game and Woking confirmed their place back in the National League.

Joining Woking will be Chorley as they came out victorious against Spennymoor.

Blakeman swung the ball over and Leather was unmarked in the six yard box to head home, however it took Spennymoor three minutes to final a leveller through Glen Taylor to make it go to penalties.

Here’s how they played out as seen in tweets by Spennymoor…
