After finding out that Millwall have made a formal approach for Wycombe boss Gareth Ainsworth, fans took to give their reaction…
Great fit for Millwall, Sunderland a poisoned chalice.

Milwall would be a brilliant opportunity for him, not to be missed!

Lunacy to appoint a lower league manager with limited success that assaulted a Millwall captain. Would have the crowd on his back within weeks.

It would be an excellent appointment but quite a few have their heart set on more long ball bollocks with Rowett at the helm. He's managed at this level before, not particularly successfully mind, so that makes him the better choice…

@WillBates97: Not making it any better for Wycombe, but feel Millwall is a better fit for GA personally
@CBL_Magazine: Ainsworth: I have no particular views on him, beyond noting that he’s done ok with Wycombe on a small budget. He hasn’t won anything of course, but neither will we attract anyone who has done much (yet) – that’s a fact of life. The Craig incident shouldn’t sway the decision IMO
@WycombeComanche: There’s surely absolutely no chance Ainsworth is going to Millwall.. I was more concerned about the Lincoln rumours #Millwall
@millwalljdb: So lots of noise about Ainsworth…. Was hoping for someone with championship experience but he’s done a fine job with Wycombe….. Seems to have his head screwed on and not sure the “dirty player who doesn’t get Millwall” really holds up
@AWOL27: Whoever is appointed needs supporting. I wouldn’t have chose Ainsworth but if it’s him so be it, what he did to Craig 10 odd years ago is now irrelevant. He has done a good job on a tiny budget at Wycombe, so it would be deemed a natural step up. #millwall
@sammc1695: Ainsworth Wycombe managerial career: 2012-13 15th in League Two, 2013-14 22nd in League Two, 2014-15 4th in League Two, 2015-16 13th in League Two, 2016-17 9th in League Two, 2017-18 3rd in League Two, 2018-19 17th in League One. Do some fans still want him? #Millwall
@Ayse_Smith: Jesus Christ, don’t sign this arsehole up. Someone who to this day still takes pride in nearly ending a Millwall players career ???
