Peterborough‘s Marcus Maddison receives a death threat in a voice message which he received on social media site Snapchat.
The Posh playmaker was left unhappy last week after getting abuse from a male known according to the username @TomSlack10, since then the club have spoken of the situation.
The voice clip, which contains a huge amount of swear words which might offend, heard the abuser say to Maddison: “Hope you get cancer you cunt.
“Fuck you you paedo cunt nonce prick.
“Listen Marcus Maddison, you paedo cunt yeah, you dip (inaudible), you fucking shagged your mum you inbred cunt.
“You got two toes and you fucking stink mate.
“”Get the fuck out of Peterborough bro, before we kill you bro, we’re gunna fucking murder you off.
“You’re a ball hogging, greedy cunt, you fucking paedo.
“Away way out, suck your fat mum!”

Peterborough United said in a statement: “The club are aware of the threats. We are in conversation with Marcus.”
Press Officer for the League One club, Phil Adlam, wrote on tweet: “Are aware of the comments. Dealing with it.”
It was not stated whether the police have been contacted.
Though hopefully the fact that the user’s name that sent the clips to Maddison have been made available to see, there is hope that he can be traced and dealt with.
