After finding out that a 14 year old had been punched by a manager of an opposition club, fans took to reveal their shock while also hoping the lad wasn’t ‘too traumatised’ and then slammed the adult, hoping he would be named and shamed…
Ban for life. Disgraceful enough to strike a child; also a complete breach of the spirit of the game.

He will probably be jailed. Plenty of witnesses I’m guessing

Seriously hope the young lad is not too traumatised and doesn’t give up playing the sport because of some idiot! The coach, should be stripped of any coaching badges he has (probably doesn’t have any)! He should be banned and prosecuted for assault. #safeguarding #unprofessional

That is probably one of the worst grassroots incidents I’ve seen on here, a safeguarding issue that must be investigated by the police and the FA. The coach involved should be ban for life not only coaching but also attending football at any level

In my opinion he should be arrested for assault and imprisoned. Not sure fineing his club will achieve anything. This is disgusting.

@ampthilldan: Disgraceful. Some coaches need to take a good look at themselves and step away from the role if they cannot get the right mentality for young kids playing football.
@Innkeeper55: He should be locked up and banned from any involvement in football at any level.
@DonnyNo6: That’s shocking, it’s assault on a minor so I hope he gets the book thrown at him.
My lad is 14 and if had been him assaulted he’d (manager) be getting to meet the police from a hospital bed without hesitation.
@LeeCotton1: Wow! The perpetrator should never be allowed near a game of football again whether that be at Wembley Stadium or his local park. A spell in the slammer wouldn’t be out of order either. Kick his team out of the league as well.
@millendsportsfc: OMG firstly, I hope the lad is ok and not too shook up about the situation, and secondly, let’s hope the perpetrator is dealt with accordingly, wtf is local football coming to, these boys should be playing for the love of the game, so so sad, and terrible in the same breath!
@EGadenneTHFC: As a ref, I know some coaches can get annoyed but this is an absolute disgrace. Hope this doesn’t get to the player’s head too much and he comes back stronger.
@nickpot37631443: Why would any man put hands on a kid that’s not what real men do, the guy needs to be named and shamed so everyone knows what type of man he is, it’s only football no need to be violent over it bloody hell.Hope the kid is well and Im sure he’s probably seen all the nice messages
@afcb1976: The perpetrator is nothing more than a thug and a bully who shouldn’t be allowed to attend a football match let alone manage a youth team. Disgusting.
