Man Utd fans taunt Thomas Frank, while Spurs fans chant about Michael Oliver, Mauricio Pochettino and Cristian Romero.
Michael Carrick extended his perfect record as Manchester United boss to a fourth win since he took over from Ruben Amorim.
United scored in each half after Cristian Romero was sent off for a dangerous tackle on Casemiro. Amad and Matheus Cunha also had goals disallowed.
Following results from the 3pm kick offs, Man Utd sit 4th with 44 points from 25 games played, while Tottenham are 14th with 29 points from the same amount of games played.
Man Utd supporters sang “Sacking in the morning” to Thomas Frank, and “Who’s the wanker…? was heard from those in the away end.
“Romero’s right the board are sh**e” was sang by Spurs fans, before he then followed that up by getting sent off. “HE’S MAGIC YOU KNOW…” another chant about Mauricio Pochettino, was also heard.

Tottenham Hotspur head coach Thomas Frank speaking to TNT Sport: “I think the first 30 minutes were a good away performance at a difficult place against a team with confidence in them and flow. The after the red card, I am very proud of the players. The resilience, staying in the game mentality, still being a threat at times trying to create something. Very proud of them. Then, of course we just made the three offensive subs and then we concede the second. I think the last 60/70 minutes, we were playing with 10 men. They put everything into it. Very proud of the fans. You could hear them loud throughout the game.
“No, because that was the error they could explore. It can always happen, of course. You can play 10 against 11. Of course, that was the area that got a little bit exposed.
“Cristian first and foremost, there is no intention to do the follow through and get a red. He clearly goes for the ball. Unfortunately, the way the rules are, it becomes a red. Cristian apologised to his teammates in the dressing room.
“It is, but it is what it is. We need to deal with it. I think a big area we’ve been working hard on is the resilience. We didn’t get the result out of it today, but what they showed out there on the pitch today, the players, was incredible. We need to focus on Newcastle on Tuesday night.
“Just focus on the next game. That is Newcastle on Tuesday night.”
Tottenham goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario speaking to TNT Sports:Â “It is so tough. Especially when you come to play in a stadium like this one. But I am proud of my team-mates because we showed a lot of resilience and hard work throughout the game. It is tough when you are one man less to try and overturn a result that is already 1-0.
“I am proud of my team-mates, so so proud, because they put all the character and effort in today and to do it 10 v 11 is a massive reward for what we want to show for our football club, for our fans and of course the result is another defeat which is tough to accept but today – we need to take the positive that can take us into Tuesday’s game.”
On how Cristian Romero is feeling in the dressing room:Â “He is disappointed because he knows this red card could have been avoided so he apologised. He is our captain and today he made a mistake but we know the player he is and he is going to come back stronger and help us massively throughout the season.”
On a potential relegation battle:Â “It depends how you see things in life. The reality is that in terms of results we have struggled a lot. Two wins in the last 16 is not acceptable for this football club but we don’t have to forget how we are trying to push ourselves in tough conditions. This is the reality. Of course we have had a brilliant Champions League campaign so far and playing every three games I have already played 36 games and I am proud of myself for doing this but for the outfield players it is tough, so it depends how you see things in life.”
Frank: "If you look at his career, he (Romero) hasn't had that many red cards."
Reporter: "He has most red cards for Spurs in PL."
Frank: "Oh, I didn't know that."

Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes speaking to BBC Match of the Day:Â “I think that if you go with your feet the probability of the ball going very high is big because it is bouncing. Some people will say I didn’t mean it [his goal] but I did because I knew the ball would go straight into the floor so I had to just go straight across Vicario.”
On the importance of the second goal:Â “We needed to close the game. We knew we were very in control of the game but at any moment it can change. They had very good players up front that could make a big difference for them. To close the game then, we still could have got one or two goals but it is not easy against a low block, they were very compact and aggressive and defended very well even with 10 men.”
On what it is like playing in the team right now:Â “When we win games the confidence goes higher and higher. It is very important for us to maintain the focus and not overdo it now. This is very good and very nice but we need to keep going. If you don’t win the next one and the next one you will get back into the same place where you don’t feel comfortable, you lose confidence and struggle to believe in everything you have been doing until now. But, we have been doing very well until now to do everything that Michael and the staff have been asking of us and we have been very brave taking responsibility in some moments in the game to go and play and do whatever you need to do to win the game. The main focus is the next game, it’s four wins in a row, this one is nice, but we need to make it five now.”
Henry Winter tweeted: “Disgraceful – to borrow one of Romero’s words from one of his recent outbursts. Romero on Casemiro, Argentina on Brazil, always an edge and that is a ridiculous, dangerous follow-through deserving of the straight red. Can he remain captain in the future? Once again Romero lets down team-mates, fans and manager. Heaps more pressure on Thomas Frank. Odobert sacrificed, enter the Dragusin. Down to 10, Spurs now a goal down. Crazy from their captain.
“VAR taking the Micky. Van de Ven got away with one of the more obvious blocking / jive-dancing moves on Harry Maguire at a corner. Not even looking at the ball. Clear penalty offence not given.
“More pressure on Thomas Frank. But how can he be responsible for Romero banned for 4 games for a bad challenge (amazingly, some people arguing it wasn’t a red) and Udogie limping off with another injury? Frank without Maddison, Kulusevski, Kudus, Porro, Richarlison, Bentancur, Davies, Spence and Danso. 100 injuries across PL clubs atm, and Spurs especially badly hit.”
