PRESS CONFERENCES:
Aguero contract latest
Pep Guardiola said: He’s going to give us a decision. He’s still not in his best condition. His injury was long. He needs to be so sharp, the quality to score in the box we don’t have doubts but he need a bit of time, training sessions and the minutes he will have. After he has seven months ahead to show. He deserves with the club the fair talks to do what is best for him, for the club, for everyone.
I was lucky to play as a manager with incredible players. He was one of these for sure. But as a human being, I’ve never found a big star to be like him.
Aguero’s frame of mind
It’s difficult for me to talk about his feelings. The game against Olympiacos was hard. Especially for his son. It’s tough, normal. He knew Maradona well and his son, it’s his grandfather. It’s a sad situation for his family, but he’s okay. It’s a question for him and his family.
General squad fitness
Everything is good.
Scoring problems?
Important is the last games we played we created much more than the opponents. You can win the game or lose it but you are closest to winning if you have more than the opponents. In the Champions League to have 20 shots is an achievement. One day we will break and put on the table what we deserve. We need to put players in the box.
Is a big win close?
Maybe, after the other games when we score four, five goals we don’t create chances. I don’t think one game scoring four or five goals will change much. We have to continue the good feelings we’ve had. Tomorrow, we move forward to try and score goals.
Relief to have fully fit squad?
Much better to have everyone. It’s tough to have four players out, it’s important to have everyone for the rotation. To have everyone involved is important.
Burnley boss Sean Dyche on Tier 3
The rules are the rules and we still want people safe and well and that is the main thing
A stadium that size might just be ball boys
Any fans getting into stadiums is a start.
Home or away fans in the stadium is great, they have been waiting a long time and we have been waiting a long time
Dyche on the first win
We got that win and it was good.
Overall I thought we edged it and we often have to do that.
We get a nice three points and remind ourselves of what we do.
I have seen the table look better but you have to get a start point.
We have three clean sheets in the last five which is a feel of what we are trying to do
We often carve out some very good chances, which we did against Palace, and hopefully we can take more of them
Dyche on contracts
Those two (Jay Rod & Vyds) had options we have taken up early and we thought that was important
If you can’t activate outside of the group then you have to make sure you can inside of the group
We are open with our dialogue with other players and we hope for more in due course.
Dyche on injuries
Jack is making good progress is not there yet
Robbie and Dale are unlikely
Popey wont play at this stage because of the knock he had to his head.
More on Jay and Vydra
We are never blessed with huge finance so you have to safeguard what you have
We know there is a marketplace for us to shop in, we try and do that and it is not easy
But the first thing you can look after is your own players and that is we have been looking to do over a months.
Dyche on Man City
It is very difficult, you can catch any of the top sides when they are really on your day and they are capable of dismantling you.
You need to play well, work well on your shape, some decisions possibly and you need them to have a quiet day.
That is just the way it goes in the Premier League when you are us and that is what we are used to but we have never feared it.
We never look away from the challenge of it and we will take it on.

THATSAGOAL TIPS:
Manchester City to Win to Nil – 10/11 with FanTeam
Manchester City have not been themselves this season. Their Champions League form has been a shining light in an otherwise poor season. Their next opponents are in the relegation zone after an awful start and tend to struggle badly against the league’s top sides.
City have handed out a few thrashings to Burnley in the past and this is exactly the sort of fixture that City have to make a statement of intent in to avoid talks of a ‘crisis’ becoming any louder. Burnley’s attack is blunt and even a leaky City backline should be able to handle them.
Mark Lawrenson’s prediction: Man City 3-0 Burnley
