Leicester fans reveal ‘Project Reset’ protest plans against the football leadership at the club

Leicester City fans reveal ‘Project Reset’ protest plans against the football leadership at the club and their downfall.

“Project Reset” is a fan-led initiative aimed at revitalising them through the tough times, as indicated by the planned event on 15/02/2025, suggesting a call for action against the current management and ownership structure.

The mention of the club “drifting without direction & accountability” alludes to recent struggles, including poor performance leading to relegation threats, discussing fan discontent and poor management decisions.

This is an excellent summary of the situation at Leicester City at the moment…

PROJECT RESET PLANS:

“Join us. Stand with us. Demand change.

“We will be making our voices heard at the King Power Stadium before our next home fixture against Arsenal. Join us at 11:30 AM on Saturday, 15th February 2025, outside the ground.

“If you believe in a better future for Leicester City, be there. Be loud. Be united. The fight for our club starts now. For Leicester. For the future. For the reset.

“Leicester City.

“We were once the envy of the sporting world. We won the footballing lottery and lifted the Premier League. We are proud and grateful, but we cannot continue live off a bygone era while the club drifts without direction & accountability.

“It’s time for a footballing reset at Leicester City.

“Debt 🔄 Equity

“The chairman shouldn’t have to bail the club out because of the repeated failures of those he has entrusted to run it.

“The leadership in place is failing the club, the fans and it is failing Top.

“Our football operation is broken. Without fresh leadership, we’ll end up in the same mess again.

“Back the boys? Of course. Always.

“But unity is built on trust.

“How can fans trust a hierarchy that refuses to communicate? We’re expected to settle for leaks through trusted media contacts while real accountability is nowhere to be seen.

“No clear football philosophy. Inconsistent managerial appointments. Erratic player trading strategy. Looming PSR sanctions. It’s rotten.

“Sure, thanks for the free donut and beer. But let’s stop taking fans for granted. Silence was tolerable when we were winning. In the face of sustained decline, it’s unforgivable.

“It’s only when the tide goes out that you find out who’s been swimming naked.

“Rudkin, my boy – where are your swimming trunks!?

“A big week. A welcome win. The tension has lifted slightly, and rightly so.

“But this was never about one result. It was never knee-jerk. It’s about breaking the cycle of decay and getting Leicester City back on a sustainable footing. Back to a club with a clear plan, not one lurching from crisis to crisis.

“The same issues remain:
❌ January transfer window slipping away while our rivals strengthen.
❌ No communication, no accountability from the top – just silence.
❌ Zero forward planning, just short-term stop-gaps.
❌ Leaked messaging to lower expectations, instead of taking real action.

“This cycle has to end.

“We want Rudkin out.

“We simply aren’t good enough.

“We need a cultural reset before it turns nasty.

“The only thing scarier than an angry fanbase, is a disconnected, disengaged & apathetic fanbase.

“We’re in danger of losing all hope.

“No plan.
No goals.
No fight.
No points.
No transfers.
No accountability.
No change.
No hope.

“Survival?

“No chance.

“We want Rudkin out.

“The club is leaking the same message across multiple journalists: incoming transfers are unlikely.

“A tactic straight out of the Rudkin playbook – lower fan expectations in an attempt to evade accountability, gain some negotiating leverage. The problem? We’ve tried this before, and we’re utterly dreadful at it.

“At what point do the enablers start questioning the puppet masters behind the scenes?

“Your hubris will be your downfall.

“Rudkin out.

“To the hierarchy at Leicester City, let me be absolutely clear: this transfer window has been an absolute omnishambles.

“Frustration has been simmering away for years now. We have compounded our mistakes, setting booby traps for ourselves & dutifully falling into them.

“We are now at a boiling point.

“This season we have seen:

“❌ Haphazard managerial appointments
❌ A playing style lacking identity & not yielding results
❌ Unable to shift aging & overpaid fringe players
❌ Overspending on players that don’t improve the first XI
❌ Yet another disastrous window that leaves us weaker, not stronger – yet again!

“Top, you have to remove Rudkin now if you want any chance of salvaging your legacy.”

Twitter users reacted as Leicester fans reveal ‘Project Reset’ protest plans against the football leadership at the club…

@hargraa: Agreed without putting pressure on the board to make changes we will continue to plummet !! Top needs to refresh the leadership and start taking the club forward as we will fall further behind Bournemouth, Brentford and Brighton !!

@JoseeephF1: I like this. A clear identity for what this period of protest should be about – the resetting those who refuse to be held accountable. Distribute the right information to fans and many more will get onboard. To paraphrase the Birch – we can make a difference.

@TAIEpodcast: This needs to be aimed at the ownership too. It’s not just Rudkin. He’s been allowed to sit in his role and fail. Top needs to be part of the protest too.

@Watto_T: It’s time for the fans to turn up. Make our voices heard.

@RizLCFC: Whoever comes to the protest, shouldn’t take their seat for the match. The protest needs to go on all evening.

@lcfcjoss: The club is only going one way. If you think otherwise I don’t know what to say but if change doesn’t happen soon we are just going to become another Sunderland, Stoke, Watford etc

@AA_LCFC: Time for Top to sell the club too it’s time to hold him accountable

@GreatGregosh: It is vital that we come together as a fanbase now and demand changes to how the club is run. The change cannot be just players and managers, it’s time that the board face accountability for our decline under their management. This protest is long overdue but absolutely key now!

@GreatGregosh:
🔊 Along with get out of our club and sack the board what about…
Internal review,
you don’t have a clue,
Rudkin an Whelan,
the problem is you!
#LCFC

@epnaca55lcfc: Like wtf happened to this club. How does Top run a multi million pound company if this is the way he goes about his business. How many players will we have on multi year contracts over the age of 30, no clubs do this anymore.

@AshleyPallett: Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result is a sign of insanity. Time for change. New Faces, New Ideas

@RizLCFC: This day cannot come soon enough. But it has to be big, vociferous and destructive (in a non-physical way). Enough is enough. #LCFC

@Stevenyoung27: I’m all for this but can we please be careful to not piss top off!
