Leeds fans heard chanting “Sky TV is f***ing sh*t” whilst Sky have problems televising game

Leeds fans could be heard chanting “Sky TV is f***ing sh*t” whilst Sky have problems in televising the game at Swansea on Tuesday night.

Sky Sports faced a barrage of criticism from disgruntled viewers in its broadcast of the Championship fixture, as technical difficulties massively affected the coverage.

Leeds ran riot in the first half, going 3-0 up by half time, before adding one more to the goal tally in the second half at the Swansea.com Stadium.

But those watching via their devices and TV screens were finding it it tough to follow the action on their television screens with it proving to be a frustrating experience throughout.

The picture quality resembled more of a hallucinogenic experience rather than a standard TV transmission, leading to the broadcaster being inundated with numerous complaints on various social media platforms.

Plenty of fans expressed their anger that the technical issues were taking so long to be rectified, considering the advanced technological capabilities of the digital company.

Additionally, many viewers demanded a refund for their subscription, citing the subpar quality of the broadcast as the reason for their dissatisfaction.

The situation was summed up perfectly when Leeds fans who packed out the away end, starting singing “Sky TV is f***ing sh*t”, heard on the broadcast while the glitch took place.

Leeds continued their strong start to 2024 in the league, securing their seventh consecutive victory against a stunned Swansea.

Crysencio Summerville, Joel Piroe and a Wilfried Gnonto double move Daniel Farke’s side up to second in the Championship table.

Leeds showcased superior speed and precision compared to their opponents, who were swiftly reminded of their struggles just days after Luke Williams’ first win as Swansea manager at Hull last Saturday.

Swansea’s Luke Williams per Sky Sports: “It was a tough evening because we did not compete properly. Too timid.

“You cannot play like that. We played as if we were too scared to press and we allowed them time at the back of the pitch.

“We caused ourselves huge problems and then when we got in close contact, we didn’t win enough tackles.

“If we’re going to compete with these top teams we have to play a top model of football and that requires intensity and bravery.

“But you can’t compete against Leeds playing like that.”

Leeds’ Daniel Farke: “The win is just about us and what we do, our points tally. If you want to finish in the top positions, you need a special amount of wins and average points per game.

“We have a better average of two at the moment and that is quite impressive.

“In the last 20 years, above two points per game was always enough in position one.

“It will be difficult with (leaders) Leicester, but overall our record is really impressive and the best that the club has had in its history at this moment.”
