The latest ticket sales have been revealed by Bolton Wanderers and Oxford United for this weekend’s 2024 League One Playoff Final.
Bolton Wanderers and Oxford United will face off at Wembley Stadium this Saturday, vying for a spot in next season’s Championship with over 60,000 fans expected to be in attendance.
Despite Wanderers being the clear favourites after their dominant victory over Oxford in March, the U’s are currently in good form and are optimistic about their prospects in the upcoming showdown.

Bolton narrowly missed out on automatic promotion by five points to Derby County in the regular League One campaign.
Despite a 3-2 defeat in the semi-final second leg against Barnsley, they managed to secure a 5-4 aggregate win and reach the final.
Oxford sealed their place in Saturday’s final thanks a 2-1 aggregate win over Darren Ferguson’s Peterborough United side in the semi-finals, following a drama-filled 1-1 draw in the second leg at the Weston Homes Stadium last Wednesday.

BOLTON WANDERERS:
Wanderers will walk out at Wembley once again on Saturday afternoon to take on Oxford United in the Sky Bet League One Play-Off Final.
Ian Evatt’s men will be backed by over 30,000 Wanderers supporters in the capital with a place in the Championship at stake.
Ian Evatt: “We’re excited by it, we’re looking forward to it and our focus is where it needs to be, which is on the game and making sure we perform to the best of our ability. We can’t guarantee a result of the back of that, but it gives us a great chance and that’s where our focus has to be.
“It’s the biggest game since I’ve been at the club, there’s no denying that. There’s been a lot of hard work, not just from myself but everybody; the players, my staff, Sharon (Brittan), the Board.
“Everybody has worked tirelessly to put us in a position to have this game and now for us it’s about focusing on the game and giving ourselves the best chance. The best chance we can have is by playing well and we must make sure we go there and have no regrets.”
One. More. Game.

He added: “In a 10-day turn-around to take over 30,000 fans, in a cost-of-living crisis, to Wembley means absolutely everything to us,” said the Wanderers’ boss.
“It’s unbelievable support and an unbelievable achievement to have that backing. All we want to do is go out and make them proud and if we can do that then everyone will have a good day.
“When I walk out on Saturday and see the white army there it makes everything worthwhile, all the hard work, the early mornings, the late nights.
“I will be immensely proud and I will take a look over and say ‘thank-you’ to everything and everyone but after that it’s strictly business and we are there to win a game.”
“We know the blueprint really of what we want to follow because of last year and what worked and what didn’t,” added Evatt.
“It’s a good experience for us. We know what works and we know that we’ve had success there, which is important for our confidence. But we are also humble enough to know that Oxford are going to have a plan and have a really hungry team to try and stop us and get the result for themselves.
“We’re excited by it we’re looking forward to it and our focus is where it needs to be, which is on the game and making sure we perform to the best of our ability. We can’t guarantee a result of the back of that, but it gives us a great chance and that’s where our focus has to be.

OXFORD UNITED:
30,000 of you are heading to Wembley! 🔥
Keep backing the boys, Yellows 👇

United will be backed by around 30,000 supporters. Make Wembley a cauldron of noise to help the boys turn a great day into a historic one.
U’s boss Des Buckingham said: “My association with the club, I know what this means to the people, not just of Oxford but also Oxfordshire.
“I think there’s a lot of flights that have been booked to come back for this, so I know what it means.
“To be able to lead this team out, bearing in mind it is my hometown club, is a very proud moment for me and the family.
“It’s been a 22-year coaching journey and the last six months have been a really good whirlwind.
“There’s a lot of pride in the journey to get myself to this role, but there’s so many people that have contributed and continue to contribute leading into Saturday.
“They (fans) will make a huge difference. I can’t wait to walk out to Wembley and see.
“We had a full-capacity crowd against Peterborough and we will triple that. To walk out and lead that team and have that behind us will be huge.
“It’s not the first time the club have had that and I was one of those in 2010. So, to go out and lead that, they will play a massive role come Saturday.”

Fourth Official: Andrew Kitchen
Video Assistant Referee: Peter Bankes
Kick-off: Saturday, 4:15pm.
PRE-MATCH STATS:
Bolton Wanderers have only lost one of their last eight games against Oxford (W5 D2), a 3-1 defeat in October 2022, with all eight games coming in League One.
Oxford United lost 5-0 to Bolton in March in a League One fixture, their heaviest defeat of the season. It’s only the third time a team will face another in a Football League play-off final after losing by 5+ goals during the regular league season, along with Barnsley vs Ipswich in 1999-00 (lost 6-1 regular season, lost 4-2 in final) and Gillingham vs Shrewsbury in 2008-09 (lost 7-0 regular season, won 1-0 in final).
This is Bolton’s first appearance in a Football League play-off final since 2001. It’s the fourth longest gap between such appearances after Port Vale (29 years, 1993/2022), Tranmere Rovers (28 years, 1991/2019) and Middlesbrough (27 years 1988/2015).
Oxford are featuring in a Football League play-off final for just a second time – they were beaten 2-1 by Wycombe Wanderers in the 2019-20 League One final under Karl Robinson. They are looking to reach the second tier of English football for the first time since 1998-99.
Fans gave their reaction to the latest ticket sales revealed by Bolton and Oxford for the 2024 League One Playoff Final…
@lukeoufcbodily: Whatever happens tomorrow I just hope it’s a moment of brilliance, either way, don’t want it decided by some dickhead sat in a room #FUCKVAR #OUFC #BWFC #PLAYOFFFINAL
@AlexChristodou7: The journey to Wembley has started. Getting giddy now #OUFC #COYY
@GeorgeHogg93: Aside from making a few memories with Dad today, I’m a little nervous ahead of tomorrow. Because it will be a dream come true to see my football club play at Wembley in person. And if we get promoted, life will be complete #oufc 💙💛
@TomMRussell91: Come on you fucking yellows 💛💛💛 #OTID #OUFC #COYY
@hraarmstrong: Excited? Yes. Nervous? Not at all really. Worst that can happen is we’re in the same division next season with a united fanbase, a new stadium potentially on the way and owners with our best interests at heart. Enough clubs in the country would snap your hand off for that #oufc
@Stuartjamess: Kind of a free hit, everyone is writing us off, their squad is probably stronger. Will be disappointed if we lose but not nervous
@NBTLOufc: Is anyone else feeling super excited but also really sick and anxious? 🤣🤣 #oufc
@swissyellow: Long day tomorrow. Your phone battery is unlikely to cope. PRINT YOUR TICKETS #oufc
@el_jay_cee_: Anyone else nearly keep bursting into tears? No just me sound 👍🏼 #BWFC
@nickp1969: Brilliant effort in what is an expensive day out
@TheChrisMcKeown: Fantastic effort! Coywm
@H34th3r87: Considering how much more expensive it is compared to last year’s trip this is amazing 👏 #BWFC
@BWFC1874: Think it’s only just sinking in how big of a game Saturday is to get back to the championship from the situation the club has been in over the last 4/5 years is absolutely massive. If we can do this on Saturday Bolton Wanderers and well and truly on our way back!! #BWFC
Ready for tomorrow !! #bwfc @OfficialBWFC🤞 pic.twitter.com/2dTIPmGqMg
