Bracknell Town chairman Kayne Steinborn-Busse says his club have struck gold by drawing the Blues in the first round of the FA Cup with it screened live on national TV.
“We struck gold getting Ipswich, a superb tie for us, especially at home,” Steinborn-Busse told talkSPORT.
“As a football club, I took them over in 2015. We were a step six football club and our ground [Larges Lane] had only ever operated at step five. But we’ve had a bit of a success and we got promoted last year to step three but our old ground was not compliant.
“We own two clubs, Bracknell and Sandhurst, so we groundshare. We built a new stadium in down in a place called Bottom Meadow, it’s in the borough of Bracknell but it’s just on the outskirts in a town called Sandhurst.
“It’s a grass pitch, not artificial. Roughly holds between two and three thousand, we’ll confirm that this week. We’re having a safety audit this week in light of the home draw and they’ll set what the official capacity will be for that game. We’ll know in the coming few days what we’ll be allowed to hold.”

This is what fans said to the latest FA Cup First Round TV selections revealed by BBC and ITV…
@TheSincilBanker: Wrexham the new Salford?
@Timmo1966: Considering Alvechurch are the lowest ranking team left I’d have thought they might be on 🤔
@bjacko691: And Coalville town mate it’s a disgrace
@StuartAkister: Wrexham v Oldham is a very very lazy selection; can see that in the league
@Joshua_J_James: Charlton v @CoalvilleTownFC should have been picked
@LawrenceTanner1: Quite surprised our game at Weymouth hasn’t been selected given there’s a genuine chance of a non league team beating an EFL team.
@rjohnsondcfc: Derby on TV as we expected. Would say I’m surprised that Wrexham vs Oldham is on TV but we all know why it’s on. Who actually wants to watch that? At least 5 other ties should have been chosen over that.
@shaunculpin: No @CoalvilleTownFC 😡
@TheBoroWalk: Wrexham on the box, who’d have thought it.
@robsgen14:
Pros: No more Salford
Cons: Wrexham are now the new Salford
@KentWomble: No complaints about those choices, apart from media luvvies Wrexham who seem to be the new Salford City.
@matthew_robert1: No @Alvechurch1st, @CoalvilleTownFC or @needhammktfc on TV is a bit disappointing. No magic for the cup when it comes to TV scheduling
@jackstringer19: Wrexham vs Oldham is absurd, several better games that could’ve been picked.
@Bish_180: Great for Bracknell to be on tv vs us! hope they do well money wise of it love seeing a lower side benefit from the money. and of course Wrexham are on 😂
@SheriffWoody971: Wrexham on TV over the Alvechurch game is ridiculous
@LRbix: Bracknell, South Shields, Torquay, and Hereford have legit reasons, but Wrexham doesn’t?
@MarkNealOx: A disgrace that @CoalvilleTownFC , @Alvechurch1st not picked for television. Yet Wrexham vs Oldham is on the box from same league. Hollywood!
@Bendall04385155: Not going to lie don’t know why they haven’t put Alvechurch on the tv
@AlexBrianWhite: Curzon Ashton v Cambridge, MK Dons v Taunton, Chippenham v Lincoln, Charlton v Coalville, Weymouth v Wimbledon, Doncaster v King’s Lynn, Burton v Needham Market and Cheltenham v Alvechurch. 8 ‘step two or lower’ v ‘Football League ‘games passed over to fucking fawn over Wrexham.
