Latest EFL TV selections sees twelve more picked – 8th July

Another batch of TV selections by Sky Sports for August of the Football League season has been made.

In today’s announcement, 12 matches (ten from the Championship and two from League One) have been chosen in total by Sky Sports from the 7th of September to the 2nd of October.

BOLTON WANDERERS v BURY (Sun 8 Apr, 12pm)
DERBY COUNTY v CARDIFF CITY (Fri 13 Sept, 7:45pm)
FULHAM v WEST BROM (Sat 14 Sept, 12:30pm)
HUDDERSFIELD TOWN v SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY (Sun 15 Sept, 12pm)
LEEDS UNITED v DERBY COUNTY (Sat 21 Sept, 12:30pm)
STOKE CITY v NOTTINGHAM FOREST (Fri 27 Sept, 7:45pm)

They join the others to have already been selected, the league ones are:
Luton Town v Middlesbrough
Salford City v Stevenage
Nottingham Forest v West Brom
Bristol City v Leeds United
Huddersfield Town v Derby County
Leeds United v Nottingham Forest
Huddersfield Town v Fulham
Sunderland v Portsmouth
Reading v Cardiff City
Hull City v Blackburn Rovers
Preston North End v Stoke City
Charlton Athletic v Nottingham Forest
Derby County v West Brom
Swansea City v Birmingham City
Cardiff City v Fulham
Bristol City v Middlesbrough

Along with them are the Carabao Cup ones Portsmouth v Birmingham City and Salford City v Leeds United.

The last lot of games chosen left fans rather miffed off, mainly due to Leeds and Salford, who later that day drew each other in the League Cup and again the duo got picked.

Peterborough United chairman Darragh MacAnthony said: “Hey @EFL that’s a little too obvious putting Salford on TV straight off the bat. Could have waited till 2nd or 3rd round of fixtures 😂👀”
