The Latest Carabao Cup First Round TV selections have been revealed days after the draw was made, and it’s since caused a stir on social media.
Like past seasons, the matches will be televised live on Sky Sports, and this season’s competition comes with a change due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The first round of the Carabao Cup is due to be played on Saturday the 5th of September, although this is also an international weekend – so some games may be rearranged.

All Premier League sides not involved in European competition in the upcoming season – so every team except Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea, Leicester, Tottenham and Arsenal – will enter in the second round.
The only change for the shortened more packed season is that the two-legged semi-finals have now been replaced with one-off games.
The EFL say via their website: On Saturday 5 September, newcomers to the competition, Barrow AFC’s visit to Pride Park as they take on Derby County will take centre stage at 12.00pm, before League Two side Walsall take on Sheffield Wednesday at 2.15pm, live on Sky Sports.
In an all-Championship tie, newly promoted Wycombe Wanderers will travel to the new Brentford Community Stadium to take on the 2019/20 Play-Off Finalists, Brentford, at 12.00pm on Sunday 6 September.
Round One fixtures are scheduled to take place on Saturday 5 September, but due to the international window may be played on alternative dates and further fixture details will be confirmed in due course.

Im sure we will see @BrentfordFC stadium enough over the 46 games, a tv game with wycombe is about as unbearable as it gets.

Why Brentford vs Wycombe ?
— Reese Fletcher (@ReeseFletcher1) August 21, 2020
You wouldn’t even televise Man U vs Colchester in the Quarter Finals last year, you chose Liverpool U23’s vs Villa
— Jamie Hudson (@Jamie_Hudson_) August 21, 2020
