Joey Barton calls Thogden and his Dad a “pair of gimps” over the gone viral Newcastle-Saudi Arabia video posted this week.

Thogden posted on TikTok: “The weekend. Best time of the week, but also the LAST CHANCE to jump on these exclusive travel packages – link in bio for more info 👀”

This caught the attention of on Twitter user, posting it on the platform, it blew up, getting over 10,000 likes and a million views.

Joey Barton then retweeted, saying: “Pair of Gimps. Football isn’t for posh dickheads who think you can just fly to Saudi for a party. It’s a working man’s game. Now fuck off and play polo you pair of clowns.”

Thogden can be heard saying in the video: Seventy year wait is finally over. Newcastle have a trophy.

Dad: Imagine the parade. A quarter of a million Geordies in the city center, limbs everywhere.

Dad:  Saudi Arabia.

This isn’t the first time Barton took aim at Thogden and ‘football influencers’, saying they are ‘killing the game’ after coming across a video of the YouTuber in November 2024.

A tweet has emerged from the ‘Common Sense with Joey Barton’ (@Common_SensePod) account: “This fella @Thogden is the most insufferable bore on the internet. These ‘football influencers’ are killing the game as much as VAR or any DEI on our TV today. Just listen to him 😫”

He then shared it on his personal Twitter account @Joey7Barton, writing: “This the fella who was telling the Madrid fans to ‘calm down’ after Barca scored in The Classico 😭😭😭 Absolute sausage 🌭”
