Jeremy Clarkson makes sarcastic dig at Leeds United in a social media post whilst he celebrated his 60th birthday over the weekend.
The Chelsea supporter looked back on the FA Cup final that took place between his side and the Whites in front of 100,000 fans at Wembley back in 1970, which was a day to forget for the West Yorkshire side.
What a day to be celebrating. 50 years since Chelsea smashed Leeds.

In a Twitter post, as seen above, Clarkson wrote: “What a day to be celebrating. 50 years since Chelsea smashed Leeds.”
The tie ended 2-2, with the Blues forcing a cup final replay for the first time since 1912, after coming back from behind twice that day, something you can watch in to halves below…

The Blues ended up winning 2-1 at Old Trafford in the second game, thanks to goals from Peter Osgood and David Webb, giving their side their first ever FA Cup trophy.
In the following season, neither team would reach the quarter final stage of the tournament with Chelsea eliminated in the 4th round, after losing 3-0 to Manchester City at home, while, in the 5th round, Leeds United were knocked out in a 3-2 away defeat by Fourth Division outsiders Colchester United.
Since then, Chelsea have had success in winning many more FA Cup and Premier League trophies, whilst Leeds have struggled to lift any sort of major accolade in recent years.
Marcelo Bielsa’s men however currently sit top of the Championship table, and now they’re just nine games away from returning to top flight football since 2004.
Could the two sides come face to face again next season? Change up those bragging rights?

Small club beats big club in a final years ago. Small clubs supporters go on about it forever. It’s no surprise. Smaller club mentality. #lufc #cfc I’m ok with it. ? the cup wouldn’t be the cup without a giant killing!

What? On April 11 1970 Chelsea fluked a 2-2 draw I think you’ll find. They had Gary Sprake to thank for that as well.
