Ian Wright has been left angered on Leicester fans’ disgraceful comments which was aimed at him and Roy Keane during the Community Shield.
The former Arsenal player has slammed a section of Foxes fanbase after watching their side, who won last season’s FA Cup, beat off Manchester City to lift another piece of silverware.
Kelechi Iheanacho’s late penalty helped seal a 1-0 win for Brendan Rodgers’ men in a game that was televised on ITV.
Wright was among the pundits with Emile Heskey and Roy Keane also in attendance.
The former Gunners legend claims the fans near the gantry hurled abuse towards him and the Irishman.
He said on Twitter : “Let me just clear that up because obviously Leicester fans know how much respect I got for them, their owners and constantly bigging them and what they do.

“But what I got to say doing punditry from the gantry where we were some of the Leicester fans what they were doing calling Roy ‘Irish C’ mouthing the words to me, they know what words they were mouthing to me.
“You let yourselves down bro, big time. Really disappointed, really disappointed on the day what was a fantastic day for Leicester City fans.
“Them fans in front of those kids, throwing the stuff down what they were doing, mouthing and shouting what they were shouting, disgraceful behaviour man.
“Leicester shouldn’t be acting like that, certain fans you don’t represent Leicester.”

Wright is known to be vocal in his opposition to racism for a while now and has actively sought to address the issue.
Speaking on the game, Rodgers told the BBC: “There was a great feeling coming here today. Every Leicester player, fan, staff member coming here, it was a really special feeling.
“We wanted to take that into the game and keep that feeling going, and thankfully we’ve done that.”
“Congratulations to Leicester,” said the Catalan.
“I am more than satisfied with how we played. Many things were really good, the young players were excellent.
“We got minutes for players so in general, many good things.”
Twitter users took to give their reaction as Ian Wright is left angered by Leicester fans’ comments aimed at him and Roy Keane…
Probably the same “fans” booing when the players took the kneee

@_S24L: disgusting from them , sorry from me and most of the leicester base i know
@MuckyFinger: You should of filmed them on your phone and exposed them mate on here
@LottieHoughton: Absolutely this. Nobody should have to put up with this and we don’t want it at our club.
@hitscharming: Those fans are not even fans. No need for abuse. I don’t know what’s going on with the fans lately but something has to happen. They should be banned or something. It’s not right at all. It’s going back to the 80s slowly slowly it will turn into non-family event.
@CEtchingham77: They spent a shedload of money to travel to London and buy a ticket to watch the game. They are fans sadly as much as we don’t want them to be
@thosenutz69: Also ironic that their winning goal came from a black player
@LCFCshitposting: That’s incredibly disappointing to hear.
@JDChristie38: Ian you should not have had to encounter that. As always a small but vocal minority spoil things.
@Leicestertid: I wasn’t close by and didn’t see or hear this but on behalf of the decent Leicester fans, real fans I apologise to both you and Roy. These are not fans and son’t represent proper decent Leicester fans, Chris, Leicester till I die
@mattyfromle: Sorry you had to witness that Ian, you’re right – they don’t represent Leicester.
@bald_eagle4713: I don’t have the words and the ones I’d like to use would result in a ban. We used to accept this shit when playing away in certain former soviet states, this is our national stadium and the home of football… just wtf
@IanHill101: That’s shocking Wrighty, no need for any of that. Well done for calling it out
@Yurimulla: We dont claim them Ian
@NickolaiMeakin: We’re a fantastic club but like any other we have our share of dicks. I doubt any of them would have the balls to say anything to his face.
@ahmed320i: Really disappointed as a LCFC fan to hear this Ian. It’s unacceptable and being a person whose been going to Filbert street and now the KP for many years, those fans don’t represent us. The club need to find out who they’re and kick them out! Ps. You’re a legend Wrighty!
@LadyLufc: Have no words Wrighty other than I’m so sorry & sending love
@GazFox2: OMG, so sorry that you had to put up with that Ian. I really hope that we haven’t attracted some wrong ‘uns. Disgraceful. You supported us in the FA Cup final and were brilliant. Heartfelt apologies (and to Roy). Leicester fans aren’t normally like that. Keep going, Ian. x
@jhandford11: Sorry you all had to put up with that shit. Sadly, it’s a monitory of ‘people’ this world can’t seem to shift! They certainly don’t represent this club as a ‘fan’. They also don’t represent a country that has a huge amount of beautiful people in it.
@karlfox9: This is one Leicester fan who loves ya, you was one of my favourite footballers when I was growing up and I also met you whilst you had you’re TV show many years ago and you was so down to earth with us, one of the nicest guys I’ve ever met
@pkonline84: So sorry to hear this Ian. This is a minority of so called fans. Most of us stand shoulder 2 shoulder with u. Racism has place, as we in Leicester, a very multicultural city, understand this
@ryanscareermode: Sorry you had to experience that Ian.
@deanowasthere89: Well said Wrighty!
@steverains: So sorry you’ve had this Ian. So much respect for you on so many levels. As a Leicester fan I hope @LCFC find out who these pieces of work are and see they get punished in some way. It’s not banter, it’s racism and it’s not acceptable
@hammer_upton: There is always banter in football but for some reason some fans take it way to far with racism sectarian etc and I don’t know when it will ever end.
@TheBritishPsych: Blimey Ian, so sorry. We love you Wrighty. You’re welcome down the King Power any time. As for Roy Keane, I doubt those supporters would have been quite so brave had not all that double glazing and security been between him and them
@LisaLisamarch: As someone born and raised in Leicester, I am sorry you and Roy had this experience today. Please know that these ‘fans’ are the minority and do not represent the true Leicester City fans. Thank you for backing our club, us true fans really appreciate it.
@Pmarshall7: Glad you’ve put this out! There’s always a few that ruin it for others. Thought that maybe being able to attend games again would give the fans a sense of appreciation. Shocking!
@justfoxes: As a Leicester fan I apologise for the actions of the minority we at this great club are amazing fans who are respectful and are just there for the atmosphere and the game thanks for your love towards our great club
@Russ89626635: I still cannot believe this happens in this day and age tbh. Disgusting! I like to say it’s the very few who do it but the very few is still too many. Find them and reprimand them. There’s no room for it. I want to take my kids and they shouldn’t have to listen to it.
@RichardEJones76: Sorry to hear this Ian. As a 🦊 fan I want to assure you that these shameful individuals do not represent the beliefs of the vast majority of out fan base. You’re a man whose personality, professionalism and life story has been an inspiration to me and others, and are much loved
@oxfordcleaver: Something about football that gives a vocal minority the power to believe that they are untouchable. So pleasing to here (on TV at any rate) the boos at the start drowned out by applause.
Was it from above Ian???? pic.twitter.com/B6eBF2MkP5
