As we all know, Tottenham will be facing Liverpool in an all English Champions League Final, but whilst 16,613 of both clubs’ supporters head to attend the fixture in Madrid on the 1st of June, majority of us fans will be watching on the television.
As always European club competitions are televised on BT Sport, and this will be the same for the finals and no other channel, which is unfortunately a shame, but there is a way you can watch it if you’re struggling for an idea how to.
BT Sport subscribers will be able to live stream it on BTSport.com and the BT Sport app but ever since they purchased the rights, they have committed to showing the Champions League final for free.
As revealed in many other reports online, it is very likely that the game will be available to stream for free for non-BT subscribers as well. The last three finals have been made available to watch on the BT website, BT Sport app and YouTube channel for free, and while this has not been confirmed yet for this season, it is believed to be happening again.
The Sun have said: “BT may also opt to restore the Freeview BT Sport Showcase channel, which was on air between 2015 and 2018.
“Whatever happens, EE phone subscribers will be able to catch the action for FREE by signing up for three-month trial.
“You can do this by texting SPORT to 150 or phoning 07953 966502 and follow the instructions.
“The free trial will allow you to watch all BT Sport channels – excluding the red button options – via the app, while free casting to your television is also included.
“At the end of your free trial, you can continue using this service, but it will cost £5 a month for the app and £10 per month to cast.
“You can cancel at any time during the free trial, simply by texting STOP SPORT to 150.”
