A week before the new set of fifth tier fixtures are out, there will be thousands of diehard football fans who follow their team all over the country planning for the new campaign ahead.

Stockport County, Grimsby Town, Weymouth, King’s Lynn Town and Dover Athletic were the sides replaced, meaning for those who do the hard miles to watch away from home, there are certainly going to be a number of long trips on the horizon.

Their longest journey will be Torquay United (385 miles) while the shortest for travelling fans is York City (85 miles).

The current odds for Gateshead to win the league, according to Sky Bet, is at 66/1 while a top seven finish is listed at 5/1.

Torquay supporters will have to travel a total of 5143 miles to watch their team away from home with the average amount of miles on the road set at 223.6.

Their longest journey will be Gateshead (385 miles) while the shortest for travelling fans is Yeovil Town (67 miles).

The current odds for Torquay to win the league, according to Sky Bet, is at 16/1 while a top seven finish is listed at 5/4.
