Group of Wrexham fans join Nantwich fans in away end at Chester before goading in car park

A group of Wrexham fans decided to join Nantwich Town fans in the away end at Chester before goading home fans in the car park.

A short video has emerged of the moment, which took place after the FA Cup Third Qualifying Round on Saturday afternoon, with Chester winning 2-1.

Meanwhile, majority of Wrexham fans were over at the Racecourse Ground, watching their side clinch a very late draw, Steven Fletcher making it 3-3 against Crewe Alexandra in League Two.

TikTok user chesterfc2010 uploaded a clip from outside Chester FC, with it since doing the rounds on social media and got plenty of reaction since too.

It was claimed that some of the Wrexham fans in the away end had been showing support towards Wrexham lad Kai Evans, playing for his new club Nantwich.

“I’m a Wrexham lad, born in Wrexham and, of course, I want to go to Chester and score,” said Evans, as per Leader Live.

“I’ve never played at Chester before but I know how much it would mean to me to score against them. It would make a few Wrexham fans happy, I know that!”

He was released by Wrexham after he made just one first team appearance in last season’s FA Cup win over Oldham at home.

But he didn’t score, and it was Chester who advanced through to the FA Cup Fourth Qualifying Round, with a dramatic late winner of their own against Nantwich Town.

Harrison Burke broke the deadlock on 75 minutes, before Dabbers sub Connor Heath levelled on 84 minutes.

However, the Blues’ fought back with Charlie Caton smashing home the winner in the fourth minute of stoppage time.

As for Wrexham, Steven Fletcher came off the bench to rescue a point for 10-man Wrexham in the 95th minute in a six goal thriller.

Mickey Demetriou headed home for Crewe on 25 minutes, before Wrexham winger Ryan Bennett saw red for the tackle on Shilow Tracey.

Paul Mullin got the leveller on 40 minutes, only for Chris Long’s penalty to put Crewe 2-1 up at the break.

Mullin was back on form, scoring his second of the game, and even though Tracey put the Railwaymen ahead again, Fletcher’s late header rescued Wrexham.

This is what Twitter users had to say after a group of Wrexham fans join Nantwich fans in the away end at Chester before goading in the car park…

@CestrianJames: Going in our away end, fawning over a Wrexham fan playing for Nantwich who contributed nothing, then trying to start fights in the car park… all while their own team were playing at home. I give our fans some stick at times, but it’s reassuring to know these are even weirder.

@KanoCounty: They wasn’t acting like that when they got slapped 5-0 by the mighty county 😂 pussy’s.

@cfcalex03: What a proper weird fanbase 🤣 waited outside and sprinted off with hoods up 🤣🤣🤣

@NathanALinley: Embarrassing

@SameliteCH4: hahahahaa @Wrexham_AFC

@cfc_alex06: Swear them lot are in chester more then they are wrexham

@Bobswillbebobss: I love the police stood there looking at them cos they know they pose absolutely zero threat to anyone or anything except their own dignity 😭

@Jake_A92: Even more baffling taking into consideration Wrexham were at home today.

@StockyHatter86: Awww they’ve got school tomorrow bless them 😂😂😂

nathcfc86: Imagine missing your own teams HOME game to travel to another city and pay money to see your hated rivals score an injury time winner. Weird bunch.

nathcfc86: Wrexham had a HOME game but some of their so-called “fans” came to spend money at their rival club? Proper weird.

benwheeler05: Are they having a dance off?
