Following the post stating that Wes Thomas and Michael Jolley was caught up in an altercation, fans took to social media to give their reaction…
Probably explains why he has had so many clubs in so few years!! No player bigger than GTFC.

Well let's get Rose in the team every game, week in week out ready for next season. He needs bedding in and confidence he's the future if we USE HIM RIGHT

Appreciate the goals Thomas has scored for us but he is bang average and believe we can get a better striker through the doors… #InJolleyWeTrust #GTFC

Thanks for the goals but let’s hope another striker gets a game now…namely rose with vernom. Then in the summer get a striker who can actually win a header ?⚫️⚪️

Personally not too upset. I don’t think he was brilliant but he had the best knack of getting goals in the squad. Didn’t deserve a lot of rubbish certain fans gave him. Thanks for the goals and all the best for the future Wes.

The social media tweets continued with many suggesting it was the right decision…
Ahh well, if he can’t be bothered then we don’t want him #gtfc

If true. Then let's start the building works for next season. Thomas was not staying beyond the summer, so let's move forward now. See this as an opportunity for next season. #GTFC

If the rumours are true and Wes Thomas has had an 'altercation' then surely we're better off without disruption? Look at Lewis Gobern back in the dark days, he thought he was the bee's knees. Thomas had so many clubs in his career, could this be why? #GTFC

Regardless of rights and wrongs of Thomas departure he’s been feeding off scraps for weeks. Must have more creativity and goals from midfield next season. Working hard is not enough for them all. Our form dipped with Embleton’s IMO. Don’t need many players but need quality #GTFC
