Some Leeds United fans have been left unhappy as footage emerges of the post-match interview with Marcelo Bielsa on Monday night.
The Premier League newcomers once again found it tough to pick up any points, this time against Europa League side Leicester City who ended up beating the Whites 4-1.
A good performance from Brendan Rodgers’ men sees them move up to second, one point off leaders Liverpool; Jamie Vardy and Harvey Barnes getting on the scoresheet alongside Youri Tielemens’ double.
Stuart Dallas’ goal gave Leeds brief hope, now Marcelo Bielsa’s side stay 12th, which is not bad after seven games in, but had they took their chances, they could be much higher in what’s been quite the unpredictable and extraordinary season so far.
Following the match, Bielsa stated his belief that ‘the result was fair’, and that although he felt his side dominated for large spells of the game, they ‘didn’t manage to create enough danger’.
Fair enough comment, right? Not to some Leeds fans on Twitter, who were left unhappy with his comments as footage emerges.
There was also criticism towards Leeds from talkSPORT presenter Simon Jordan, fair to say that got plenty of attention online too.
“I don’t bow at the temple of Bielsa like all these other managers seem to do.”
“I don’t see that result as a surprise last night. Brendan Rodgers is an elite manager.”
“#LUFC aren’t that good!”@SJOpinion10 wasn’t surprised by #LCFC‘s big win over Leeds. ? pic.twitter.com/Z8Awru31zE

Premier league clubs now know how to handle Leeds with the kind of game we play week in week out. How now Bielsa? Running out of ideas? #lufc

Whilst I find Basil Fawlty speaking time Manuel like he’s a an idiot quite funny, speaking that way to the translator is an embarrassment. https://t.co/mUo7OZIpfG

excuse after excuse. home form needs to improve drastically or we are in trouble this season

Agree. Teams are starting to look at Leeds as an easy 3 points, ER should be a tough place to play, not a playground for the opposition

My one criticism of bielsa he never changes tactics it was obvious they would defend deep and hit us with pace on the counter attack lots of teams will try that against us this season

Expect every team to water the pitch four times and sit back to hit us on the counter from now on.

Reality check ? Straight off pitch onto the training ground for defensive tactics for the next match . Sort it Bielsa and NO back passing

Absolutely dire tonight…

Huge mistake from Bielsa replacing Hernandez. That’s was the minute when Leeds lost the momentum. Well, NEXT ….
