The FourFourTwo magazine have predicted them to finish in 8th place for the 2025/26 League One campaign.

25/26 FFT VERDICT: The Tangerines could go close: they enjoyed some surprisingly attacking football under Bruce, with only two teams outscoring them, and have added a couple of quality centre-halves now in Horsfall and Michael Ihiekwe.

The FourFourTwo magazine predicted the club to finish in 7th place for the 2024/25 League One campaign – instead they finished 9th.

The FourFourTwo magazine have predicted them to finish in 7th place for the 2025/26 League One campaign.

25/26 FFT VERDICT: “Reading are leaning into their heritage as The Biscuitmen, but fears they may crumble are finally over.
